Su Xuelin, a famous modern female writer. When Su Xuelin is mentioned, Lu Xun will inevitably be mentioned, because she is known as "the first person to scold Lu Xun". For this title, Su Xuelin did not object, she said, "anti-Lu" has almost become my career for half a lifetime. "On the contrary, the two of them have such a great hatred that Su Xuelin spent half his life criticizing Lu Xun?"
Su Xuelin, whose ancestral home is An Taiping County, was born in 1897 in Ruian County, Zhejiang Province. Su Xuelin was born into a traditional family, and her parents did not allow the girl to study. Later, Su Xuelin "spent countless tears, crying, pleading, and quarreling" to finally convince his parents and finally went to the Anhui Provincial Junior Girls' Normal School.
In 1921, Su Xuelin went to France to study. After returning to China, he taught at Soochow University and Hujiang University, during which he published some novels, and gradually emerged in the literary world. At this time, Su Xuelin and Lu Xun had contact, and until Lu Xun's death, Su Xuelin still had great respect for Lu Xun.
If Su Xuelin has some opinions about Lu Xun, it may be the first time the two have met. In July 1928, Su Xuelin and Lu Xun met for the first time, when she was known as a new force in the literary world, and even Lin Yutang praised her. After seeing Lu Xun, when Su Xuelin held out his hand to the seniors, Lu Xun did not shake hands with him, nor did he greet him, but only nodded symbolically.
You can imagine the embarrassing scene at that time, Lu Xun's attitude made Su Xuelin sting. After Lu Xun's death, countless people expressed deep regret for Lu Xun, especially the funeral was unprecedented in scale, and Su Xuelin was even more sarcastic, "This sad sound, this shock, is like a planet suddenly flying out of the sky, smashing our moon, and it is as if the Pacific Ocean suddenly dried up overnight and saw the bottom. ”
Irony is irony, Su Xuelin felt that it was not enough, and he published a letter that caused an uproar, "To Mr. Cai Xiaomin on the Book of Lu Xun". In this letter, Su Xuelin attacked Lu Xun and protested that Cai Yuanpei presided over Lu Xun's funeral. This letter can be regarded as the beginning of Su Xuelin's scolding of Lu Xun, and one scolding is half a lifetime.
Su Xuelin is an unruly woman, and in the articles scolding Lu Xun, there is an imperceptible sadness and loneliness. Living with such a woman is extremely difficult after all, and Su Xuelin would rather scold Lu Xun than make a bowl of soup for her husband. Su Xuelin once recalled his marriage to her husband Zhang Baoling and believed that the union of the two was a tragedy.
"The husband has received Western education, but still holds the old concept of Chinese men on the issue of marriage, hoping that his wife is an old-fashioned housewife who serves him wholeheartedly, rather than a literati and new woman who can only shake the pen and will not make the pot and shovel."
After many arguments, the two eventually separated. In the 1950s, Su Xuelin came to Taiwan, and in his later years, Su Xuelin suffered from an eye disease and was almost blind. However, Su Xuelin lived very long, and she lived until 1999, at the age of 102.
