Alxa, June 21 (China News Network) -- On June 21, this reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Ejin Banner Committee of the Alxa League of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that Comrade Su He, former chairman of the CppcC Committee of the Alxa League, died at the age of 74 at 16:54 on June 20, 2021 at 16:54 in Dalaihubu Town, Ejin Banner, due to ineffective medical treatment.
Su He is the former chairman of the CPPCC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Alxa League. In 2004, Su He retired two years early and returned to his hometown of Ejina Banner to plant trees and control the desert. He returned to his hometown of Heicheng, where the desertification of Ejin Naqi was most severe, overcame many unimaginable difficulties, insisted on afforestation, and made outstanding contributions to the construction of local ecological civilization.
From 2004 to 2021, in 17 years, Su He and his wife planted a total of 90,000 shuttle seedlings, and the 3,500 acres of shuttle forest built an ecological barrier with a width of 500 meters and a length of 3 kilometers. In 2014, Su He was awarded the honorary title of "Model of the Times". (End)
