On June 24, local time, an appeals court in New York State announced the suspension of the lawyer license of Rudy Giuliani, a personal lawyer for former US President Trump.
The court found that Giuliani made "manifestly false and misleading" statements about the 2020 presidential election while working as Trump's personal lawyer. The court ruled that Giuliani's conduct "threatened the public interest and therefore temporarily barred him from practicing as a solicitor," while considering disciplinary action.
