The jury found Rudy Giuliani's former aide, Lev Parnas, guilty on Friday. He was accused of illegally making campaign contributions to influence U.S. politicians and advance his own business interests.

Parnas, 49, was tried in Manhattan federal court for more than two weeks, according to the Associated Press, where prosecutors accused him of using other people's money to impersonate a powerful political broker and curry favor with some Republican star politicians. After about 5 hours of jury deliberations, he was found guilty of all charges.
Part of the case accuses Parnas and a colleague of illegally donating to the Republican Political Committee through a physical company in 2018, including a $325,000 donation to America First Action, a super-political action committee that supported former President Trump.
The Russian-born Florida businessman, through his lawyer, insisted that he never used Russian money for political donations.
Co-defendant Andrey Kukushkin, a Ukrainian-born investor, was convicted of participating in the use of funds from Russian financier Andrey Muraviev to make political donations. He denied any wrongdoing.
During Biden's presidential campaign, Giuliani had tried to get Ukrainian officials to investigate biden's son, Parnas and former co-defendant Igor Fruman, who was deeply involved in the case, and the case sparked interest.
Giuliani's company and lawyers did not immediately respond to emails asking for comment on the verdict.
