The Inner Mongolia Yan'an Spiritual Research Association and the Inner Mongolia Yan'an Nationalities University Alumni Association were established in 1989, and have gone through 29 years under the leadership of the old president and the old alumnus of Yan'an Nationalities College, the elderly Yun Zhaoguang. The Inner Mongolia Yan'an Spiritual Research Association was established relatively early in the nationwide Yan'an Spiritual Research Association, and the establishment of the Association has greatly promoted the inheritance and development of the Yan'an spirit in Inner Mongolia, and at present, most of the members of the Association are composed of the descendants of the Inner Mongolian revolutionaries and heroic martyrs who participated in the revolution with Comrade Ulanfu in the early years, the young descendants of the Tumut Banner Revolution who rushed to Yan'an to participate in the revolution during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and the descendants of the old comrades who participated in the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government and the construction of Inner Mongolia in the autonomous region in 1947. In recent years, the Inner Mongolia Yan'an Spiritual Research Association has often organized various activities such as study visits, symposiums and discussions from time to time.

At the Ulanf House, everyone listened to the docent detail the life scenes and early revolutionary history of this revolutionary pioneer, and gave a vivid lecture on the history of the Red Revolution.

"This is the place where my father was born, and I have taken my friends back to my hometown five times..." After learning the news that the Yan'an Spiritual Research Society was going to visit the former residence, The daughter of the elderly Wukeli (the second son of Ulanfu) specially followed everyone to the former residence again, and Lina led the members to visit the former residence and personally introduced the room where her father was born and the life experience of her grandfather's family.

"Try the watermelon and plums from our hometown?" The fruits of your hometown are certainly not often eaten by you....." The cousin of Yunlu, the party building contact of the research association, brought several large plates of local fruits to warmly greet everyone to taste the hometown specialties together, and the simple and kind smile warmed every visitor. During the visit to the former residence, they met the relatives of the elderly who still lived in the village, and they also participated in the discussion of remembering the old people, telling the revolutionary anecdotes that their fathers knew.

From the exhibition room of the former residence, the members of the Yan'an Research Association further deepened their understanding of the revolutionary process of Wulao, many of whom did not visit the former residence for the first time, and many of them were relatives of Wulao, who actively participated in this activity and recalled the journey of their fathers to Yan'an, the holy land of revolution, under the guidance of Ulanfu and other comrades.

Through visiting the exhibition of the former residence, the members traced the historical context and reviewed the revolutionary process of the older generation of revolutionaries. On December 23, 1906, Ulan fu was born in the village of Tumut Zuoqi Tabu in present-day Inner Mongolia to a well-to-do Mongolian peasant family, with the scientific name Yunze. In 1919, he was admitted to the Elementary School of Higher Education in Suitu mot, and soon after entering the school, he actively participated in the demonstration against the traitorous "Twenty-One Articles" and participated in the anti-imperialist struggle to destroy the Japanese-invested electric light company and power plant. In 1921, the 15-year-old Ulanfu followed the customs of the Tumochuan Mongols and married a Mongolian peasant girl in Taitaji Village, Tokto County, in his hometown. The main decoration of the former residence is the reproduction of the scenes of Comrade Ulanf's life during this period. The content of the exhibition room is divided into four parts: the first part is "Adolescence". It introduces the family background of Ulanf's birth and his early education. Through the study of cultural knowledge, he understood that only by reading books and mastering skills can he change the fate of the nation. In 1919, Ulanf was admitted to the Higher Primary School of Suitout with honors. Since then, I have stepped out of this farm compound and taken the first step in the search for knowledge and truth.

The second part is "Revolutionary Days in the Homeland.". It shows that in June 1929, Ulanf was sent by the organization to leave Moscow and return to western Inner Mongolia to carry out the revolutionary struggle. The Work Committee of Simon of the CPC was set up, and the work of reviving party organizations, establishing peasant associations, and training revolutionary cadres was actively carried out, so that the revolutionary forces that had suffered serious setbacks could gradually be restored and developed. Under his influence, a large number of progressive young people embarked from here on the road of striving for national equality and national liberation. The third part is "Homeland Feelings". In 1941, according to the arrangements of the party organization, Ulan Fu left the New Third Division with his wife and children and went to Yan'an. The family has since left their hometown. As a place where he grew up and fought, Ulanf deeply loved and cared for his hometown, and after the establishment of the autonomous region, Ulanf returned to his hometown six times to visit the villagers.

The four parts are "Glorious Course". In 1945, Ulanfu was dispatched by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to leave Yan'an and return to inner Mongolia to work. From being ordered to dissolve the "Provisional Government of the Inner Mongolia People's Republic" on the verge of danger to the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Movement Federation; from propagating our party's ethnic policy to unify the eastern and western parts of Inner Mongolia, to establishing China's first ethnic minority autonomous government under the leadership of the Communist Party of China; from creatively carrying out democratic reform and socialist transformation in ethnic minority areas to developing and prospering inner Mongolia's unique experience; from presiding over and leading the national united front work throughout the country to the birth of the first ethnic code of the People's Republic of China! In his sixty-five years of revolutionary career, he devoted his life unreservedly to the revolutionary course of the cause of the Party and the people. The former home is the place where Ulanf was born, raised and engaged in revolutionary activities in his early years.

Before liberation, Ulanf's former residence was severely damaged by the enemy, and some of the houses were burned down by the Japanese. In 1987, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region government carried out maintenance of the former residence, and it was officially opened in October 1991. In the courtyard is a bronze bust of Ulanf, which displays photographs of Ulanf's youth and his parents. The former residence of Ulanfu in Tuzuo Banner, Hohhot City, has been listed by the state as one of the classic scenic spots of red tourism. On May 25, 2006, Ulan Fu's former residence was approved by the State Council to be included in the list of the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
