The old cow pulls the car hard and does not loosen the sunset red in pain

author:Hebei Farmers Daily

My family's ancestral home on the banks of the Tuotuo River, since I can remember, has experienced many floods, resulting in my family "three years of hard work and not turning over". From 1951 to 1953, in order to alleviate the family's livelihood difficulties, I had just graduated from elementary school, and my father told me to follow him to push a cart to the market and do the business of selling iron goods.

In order to alleviate the fatigue of my cart, my father specially found me a datewood wheelbarrow. This kind of car loads a lot of goods, pushing and saving effort, it is easy to overturn, and it will screw the "ear" when it is poured. If you encounter potholes and heavy loads, you may even break the axle and lie down. So I often carried spare parts in my car, and my father and I would make and replace them ourselves.

Later, my father bought me an old bicycle rug, replaced the bulky wooden wheel, and it was much lighter to push, but the spokes of the wheel were far less strong than the spokes of the wooden wheel, and it was really overwhelmed, and if it was slightly strained or twisted, the spokes would break, making the wheel twist and the tire run out of gas.

At that time, The county seat of Fukazawa was the largest iron production and wholesale market in our area, and it was also a big market that my father and I often rushed to. Usually, my father would help me load the car, and he would ride the water pipe bicycle to the front, and I would push the car and then arrive.

One evening in the deep ze big market, we collected the stalls, into the next set of goods, my father first rode to catch the river more than a dozen miles away, the next day's hardcore village big market. On this day, we had a lot of goods, I pushed the cart to the sand nest by the Tuotuo River, because the force was too large, the car twisted, the rut was "paralyzed", and the ring was bent into a "ox hook groove" (oxbow). I was dumbfounded, it was dark again, there was no shop in front of the village, and I was crying.

The moon came up high, and my father came back to pick me up when he saw that I had not yet arrived. When he saw the situation, he went to a nearby village to find a family and helped me unload the goods and store them there, and I also spent the night at the house. The next day I went to Fukasawa City to fix the wheels before I went to catch the hardcore set.

In 1953 and 1955, our village suffered three consecutive floods, and the whole village moved twice in three years. I used this little cart to push bricks in the mud and water, carry wood, and from spring to winter, I "pushed out" a home again. After building the house in 1955 and I was admitted to middle school, I said goodbye to the wheelbarrow.

In the upsurge of agricultural science in the country in the last century, every winter and spring, the production team prepared the land and accumulated fertilizer was a heavy and long-lasting agricultural work, and the male and female laborers initially used baskets to carry soil and fertilizer. Later, in order to improve labor efficiency, the team called on members to buy a pull cart or cart, and the team could subsidize 70% or 80% of the money, and later take the car out to earn double work. My wife and I saved money and bought a new pulling car, and since then, we have had a pair of rope nooses on our shoulders, pulling the car all day long. Pulling soil, preparing land, cutting grass, accumulating fertilizer, exceeding the quota of work of the production team every year, and there are some "dividends".

My most memorable thing is that in the 1960s, when there was an extreme shortage of coal, I used this small pulling car, shangyangquan, lower Motou (former Motou railway station), and walked to pull hundreds of lires of coal to help the family's winter and spring life "coal burning" urgent.

In addition to earning a living, in the 1970s, we pulled out a home with a small pull cart. In order to build a house, we got up early to pull the foundation of the house, pull the billet, pull the brick, etc., and if we didn't have a pulling car of our own, it was simply incredible to accomplish these things.

In the 1980s, I changed from a private teacher to a public teacher, and my family members followed me to the city. My wife had no land in the village, no occupation in the city, and my family's life was once again in a difficult period.

In the confusion, the little puller came to comfort my lonely and helpless heart. The wife used it to set up a street stall, through the wind and rain, through the cold and summer, more than a dozen spring and autumn, and saved a lot of money. Although only two sets of pension houses were purchased in the county, this was also "pulled" out by this small pulling car.

More than ten years ago, my little pulling car retired.

So far, I can't remember how many bicycles my family has replaced, and the most memorable thing for me is an old "White Mountain Brand" bicycle that my father exchanged for me with 18 pounds of dried vegetable leaves. It was the first bike of my life.

I went to the city in 1960 to teach at a secondary school, the unit was dozens of miles away from home, and what I needed most was a bicycle. But how easy is it to buy a car then? In a hurry, his father got his mother's 18 pounds of dried radish to sell for 54 yuan on the set and bought a "White Mountain Brand" worn-out bicycle. Buying it home, my father and I did a complete renovation by ourselves. Sewn to patch up cracked tires, straightened out twisted rims...

This White Mountain bike has been with me for 17 years, and I have been repairing it for 17 years. By the time it was sold to my colleagues in 1976, its rear inner tire had been connected to three sections, pasted more than 10 patches, and in some places two or three layers of patches were also stacked, and the front and rear outer tires were also played with half a foot long "clips". The colleague who bought my car said to his colleagues seriously and with a smile: "Don't look at Teacher Zhang's car broken, but it is very easy to ride it, and the tire card is "choking" on the hard road and there is still a little 'rhythm'!" ”

Riding a broken car for more than ten years, I mastered the repair technology of all the parts of the bicycle, the chain is broken, the flywheel is in the air, the pedals do not turn, etc., we can all figure it out. Even the pump we can play with.

After my family moved to the city, they set up stalls near the state-run bus station and also did the business of renting bicycles. Due to financial constraints, I could not buy a new car, so I specially selected some old cars from the market, went home and decorated them myself, and put them into use. My business is really good, and I have a lot of regular customers in the past few years, most of them are on business or in business, and they are familiar. As soon as they got out of the car, they went straight to my stall, picked a random one and rode it. The unanimous response of the passengers was: "Although the car is old, it is particularly comfortable and brisk to ride." ”

At most, I had 20 cars and earned thirty or forty dollars a day. This was already a lot of income at that time. hey! These dilapidated cars have inspired my entrepreneurial motivation, and I always feel that there is a powerful force behind me.
