As we all know, Li Zhun is a native of Luoyang, he has not experienced the flood, how can he be so familiar with that disaster?
It turned out that in the winter of 1969, Li Zhun's family was forced to be sent to Quzhuang Village, Xixia Commune, Xihua County, Henan Province, for labor reform. They lived in a dilapidated house next to the nursery.
Like a farmer, he planted land, dug rivers and ditches, and slowly became acquainted with local farmers. In his spare time, he often goes to the breeding room to chat and learn about the past and present life of the farmers.
The peasants did not know what the writer was doing, but only that he was literate, so they asked him to help write a eulogy for the deceased peasant. In more than 3 years, he collected the family history of more than 600 peasant families and gradually learned about the tragic history of the people of huangpan.
In 1975, in order to write the film script "The Great River Rushing", he visited Xi'an and other places. In Xi'an, he visited dozens of families who had fled from Henan to escape the wilderness, and gained a deeper and more detailed understanding of the lives of Henan refugees in Xi'an and other places.
His experiences in Xihua and Xi'an made him remember the disaster of 1938. During that period, Chang Xiangyu was also acting in Shaanxi and actively participated in disaster relief charity performances. Therefore, in this matter, Li Zhun found the emotional resonance point of the two.
In 1979, on the basis of a large number of real-life experiences, Li Zhun created a novel "The Yellow River Flows East", and in 1985, he won the second Mao Dun Literature Award.
