During the period, through the meticulous identification of the wild protection staff, it was determined that this animal in distress was a national second-level protected animal sambar deer, with good nature and unique swimming skills, which made the on-site rescue police put down their hanging hearts, follow the sambar deer in the river for about three kilometers, and saw that it successfully escaped from danger in the safe zone on the riverbank, and the police had to be impressed by the superb skills of the sambar deer swimming in the Yalong River while lamenting the ecological harmony of the new dragon.

This morning, when we received a report from the masses that a deer was on the Yalong River highway, we immediately organized the police force and contacted the forestry and grassland department to go to the scene to check, and after preliminary investigation, it was an adult sambar deer who was frightened by the wild dogs and ran into the water, and after swimming for almost two or three kilometers, it went ashore, and we contacted the special personnel of the forest and grass wildlife protection department to guard there until the sambar deer returned to the forest.
