The "Children's City" playground in the state of São Paulo declared it closed after 51 years of operation

Children's City Is a tourist attraction in the city of SAO BERNARDO and was a symbol of the city from 1970 to 1980. The park attracts visitors from all over the country, especially from Rio. In 2005, the park was abandoned until it reopened in 2010.

The municipality of SAO Bernardo do CAMPO said it received a proposal from the park management company on Thursday.

The city said all decisions need to be taken into account in the current epidemic situation, and currently, the city is a yellow safe zone for the state government. The municipality said that the maintenance of the park and the maintenance of equipment are the responsibility of the municipality, and the municipality will continue this work.

The EXPOAQUA Group was given the authority to develop the park's operations.

On July 24 last year, an accident in the park resulted in the death of a 40-year-old woman. At that time, she played with her daughter brucomela toys and died after hitting the iron frame on the head. Police have put the investigation into the case on hold.

Witnesses said the female passenger fell unconscious while riding the toy and then fell and hit her head.

Located in the center of the city, the park covers an area of 37.742 square meters and is listed as a protected heritage by the City's Department of History and Cultural Relics.
