After Li Weiyi heard this story, he was all moved and shocked, thinking of the male and female wolves who were both stranded, and his heart was even more worried about the litter of small wolf cubs they left behind.
At the moment of hearing the story, Li Weiyi decided to go looking for someone who had taken the wolf cub.
Braving the scorching sun and winds on the grasslands, she changed into herder's costume and followed the sporadic clues given by the insiders and embarked on a path to find the little wolf cub.
The Emperor did not pay off, and after three days and three nights of running wildly, she finally got the clue of the little wolf cub as she wished. However, the recent situation of the little wolf cub is not optimistic:
Six little wolf cubs, five dead because they lost their mother and father, and the last one was dying.
When Li Weiyi saw this little wolf cub, it lay motionless on the grass, its breath weak, and it felt like it was going to stop breathing at any time.
Li Weiyi came from the middle of the sorrow and let out a long roar. Unexpectedly, this cry, which resembled the mother of the wolf, made the little wolf cub hit a fierce spirit, slowly opened his eyes, and climbed hard in the direction of Li Weiyi.

But the rescue conditions on the savannah were limited and could not give the wolf cub good rescue measures, so Li Weiyi made a bold decision: take it back to the city.
Li Weiyi's home is in Chengdu. On the way back to Chengdu with the wolf cub, she was very anxious.
Wolves are not dogs after all, they are naturally wild and have not been domesticated. When I was a child, there was nothing, and it would not cause much aggression to people, but as it grew up, the wild nature would be slowly released, and whether it could be controlled at that time, Li Weiyi was not completely sure.

Grimm was not a dog, though he had lived with people like dogs since childhood, tamed, and intimate with people. But as he grew older, his nature, his proud bloodline, and the wolf nature that had been integrated into his bones before he was even born, slowly revealed.
Its stubbornness, persistence, arrogance, bravery, and strong desire for freedom all made Li Weiyi see it.
When it walks with Li Weiyi, it will not want to bring a dog leash. No matter how soft and hard Li Weiyi is, he will not obey;
It will destroy Li Weiyi's father's vegetable field, go to lianchi in the community to catch fish, and steal raw meat bought from the supermarket by neighbors;

But Li Weiyi has never scolded Green because of this, on the contrary, she has great respect for Green's "wolf nature".
She understood that Green didn't want to chain his dog because he didn't want to be enslaved like a dog. For wolves, the belief in the supremacy of liberty is indestructible.
In order to retain Green's "wolf nature", Li Weiyi even tried to find a way to stimulate Green's wild nature and retain its most primitive nature as a wolf.
She began feeding Green live chickens and training him to hide food. Even though she was often injured by Greene in the process, she couldn't bear to cut off the tip of Green's claw.
But After all, Green is a wolf living in the city, and its yearning for freedom grows with age, and even Li Weiyi can't control it.
It will sneak out and run around the road, affecting social order and order, making Li Weiyi feel frightened and afraid every time.
After thinking back and forth for a long time, in desperation, Li Weiyi had to make a difficult decision:

Li Weiyi sent Green back to nature, and it was not as easy as we thought.
In the autumn of 2010, Li Weiyi took Green and began a life of camping on the grassland.
Li Weiyi knew clearly that Green had been away from nature and the wolves for too long, and it would not be able to survive on the grassland without training its wolf nature.
In this way, Li Weiyi took Green to live in his friend's mastiff farm on the grassland, and threw Green into his natural enemy Tibetan mastiff group.
Green, who had just entered the mastiff field, would be scaled every day, and even a few times he would not even save his life. But during this time, it also learned to observe the color of speech, wrestled with the beast, and finally gained a place in the Tibetan mastiff herd.
Life in the mastiff farm also inspired More of Green's nature, and it was no longer the "little wolf dog" who played in Li Weiyi's arms every day, it was a wolf, a real wolf, the supreme king of the steppe.
But Li Weiyi also gradually found that although Green had the ability to prey, it had lived with humans for too long, and many habits were more like "a dog".
When it pounces on its prey, it will roar at its prey, and its bluff looks exactly like a dog. And the nature of the wolf is to crouch and attack.
In order to let Green return to the wolves and truly integrate into the wolves, Li Weiyi threw the danger and fear behind him, and did not know where the courage came from, he actually decided to take Green to Wolf Mountain.
In search of wolves, Li Weiyi slept in the funeral home, encountered traps, and got lost. But she firmly believes that only by returning Green to the wolves can it truly become a wolf, and can it fully stimulate its wolf nature. In the future, even without her, Green can live a good life.
But for more than a month at Wolf Mountain, Green called out to his companions night and night, but was never accepted by the wolves. In desperation, Li Weiyi had to take Green back to the grassland and look for an opportunity.
Until the winter of 2010, Li Weiyi felt that this was the best opportunity. Because winter is the time when wolves are clustered, and it is also the time when wolves are most tolerant, it is easiest to accept new companions.
If he doesn't go this time, Green will survive alone for more than half a year. So Li Weiyi once again embarked on the road to Wolf Mountain, this time she took YiFeng with her.
Fortunately, after one cold and hungry day and night after another, Green finally walked out of the hut silently at midnight one day, and a wolf howled through the valley. On the other side of the valley, a wolf howl echoed.
Li Weiyi clearly knew that this was the voice of the wolves accepting Grimm, and she and Yifeng were excited to watch Grimm in the window, and walked step by step towards the wolves. Tears and laughter in his eyes. It's like watching your son grow up and leave home and travel alone.
Grimm looked back at them and reluctantly stepped out of his forelimbs buried in the snow and took his first steps away from humanity.

I thought they would never intersect again, but the story of Li Weiyi and Greene was followed in 2013.
One day in 2013, Li Weiyi suddenly heard that Green had been arrested. Li Weiyi rushed back to the grassland overnight, and after a year of searching, he finally met Green during a wolf hunt.
The moment she saw Green, Li Weiyi did not dare to recognize it, because Green had grown up and was no longer a little wolf cub that she could hold in her arms at any time. Green also seemed to have spotted her, and after the predation was over, stood in the distance looking at her.
Li Weiyi still called Green like a child, letting it come over to let her mother hug. But instead of moving forward, Green took a few steps back.
Finally, Green left with his wife and daughter, and in the second that Green turned his head, Li Weiyi saw a light in the corner of his eye, which was Green's tears.
Later, Li Weiyi learned from the herdsmen that three of Green's four children had been killed. Green's heart had fear and hatred for people, even if that person was Li Weiyi, it did not dare to approach easily.

In August 2020, Li Weiyi met Green again on the grassland.
Thankfully, Green did not fear her like 7 years ago, but fixed his mind, after hearing the secret code to recognize her, the wind ran into her arms, and Li Weiyi also held Green for a long time and refused to let go.
Li Weiyi said in the interview that ten years later, Green is old, she is also old, if she did not meet Green ten years ago, her children may already be able to play soy sauce.
But Green changed her life, and Green made her life a success.

If one day we don't see Grimm on the prairie, that's a natural thing. I reckon Green won't let us see it in its final moments either.

Ten years later, Li Weiyi also wrote her and Green's story into a book "Return to the Wolves" and made it into a TV series of the same name.
