Life in modern society is hard and busy, and the social circle has become more and more narrow. The advent of the Internet has saved these people's shrinking circle of friends and helped them develop potential romantic partners.
Britain's "Daily Star" reported on June 16 that Martin Ashley Conway, a 45-year-old fitness coach (pictured above), had met a woman he called Jovanna Lovelace through such a way.
The surname Laphrey is somewhat strange, meaning "prodigal son" or "lustful" in English.
Martin, who was immersed in love, did not pay much attention to this. He chatted with Jovana every day, and finally accepted the invitation of the other party after 2 months of acquaintance, "netizens rushed to appear", and made the first offline date.
Martin was very happy with Jovana during the date, and the two exchanged a warm and sweet kiss. The kiss rubbed off Jovana's lipstick, and Martin noticed something unusual about her mouth, explaining that she had a cold.
However, after 2 days things started to go wrong. Martin also began to cough, develop flu symptoms, develop large ulcers in his mouth, and eat badly. Doctors diagnosed him with the "lifelong herpes simplex virus" and gave him some medication.
After a few days, the situation did not improve. He found himself with herpes that he didn't want to look at more. Devastated, Martin suffered a panic attack and fainted at home and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Over the next few weeks, he was unable to eat properly and could not (or unwillingly) leave the house.
Because of this incident, Martin and Jovana's relationship broke down. He also took the other side to court, demanding that Jovana compensate him for 136328 pounds (about 1.21 million yuan). He thinks the request is reasonable because the virus is lifelong and £100,000 of that money is the cost of treatment every 2 weeks until he turns 79. He also said he had delayed his work as a result, suffered a mental blow and could suffer from a more serious mental illness.
The case was first heard in February and will continue thereafter.
Jovana said Martin's behavior was "very boring" and she wasn't worried about losing the case.
Although Martin's reaction may have been too strong, it was understandable that he felt uncomfortable. This virus usually only infects the person's mouth and private location, usually the type 1 virus that infects the mouth, and the type 2 virus that infects the other location. However, it is also possible for the oral cavity to become infected with type 2 virus due to indirect contact. Thinking like this, is there some understanding of Martin's mood?
