On September 12, the finals of the "Super Guangdong Future - 2021 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Cantonese Dialect Contest" (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition"), jointly sponsored by The Pearl River Channel of Guangdong Radio and Television Station, the Guangfu People's Friendship Association and the Overseas Friendship Association of the Descendants of Guangdong Guangfu Renzhu Lane, and undertaken by Guangdong Southern Star Film and Television Program Co., Ltd., were held in the studio hall of Guangdong Radio and Television Station.
The competition format of this competition continues to upgrade, through the "immersive Cantonese scene test", "Cantonese dubbing", "Cantonese mutual translation" and other innovative links, edutainment and education, improve the practical use of Cantonese by young people. The program also specially designed a short video link of "Handsome Yellow Academy", in which Yangcheng comedian Huang Junying and his daughter-in-law and granddaughter worked together for the first time to interpret the story of Cantonese culture.
In order to ensure the fairness, impartiality and openness of the competition, and enhance the authority and professionalism of the competition, in the finals, the organizer invited Ten authoritative scholars and star guests of Cantonese culture, such as Fang Xiaoyan, Zheng Da, Rao Yuan, Huang Junying, etc., to form an "Expert Advisory Heavenly Group" to escort the competition. They personally participated in the questions, and through the on-site computer lottery, they conducted a "one-on-one" "strict examination" with the top ten players. In addition, the finals also carefully designed the competition links such as "good sound and good drama" and "one play", and presented the Cantonese cultural scenes of traditional festivals such as "Spring Festival", "Lantern Festival", "Tanabata" and "Winter Solstice" on the stage, which not only allowed the contestants to enter the immersive competition, but also let the audience feel the charm of Cantonese culture in an immersive way.
The stage of the finals also invited many star guests to help perform: Guangdong singer Liangshan opened the competition with an original song with Cantonese characteristics ,"Flying Flowers in the South of the City"; popular hosts Xiang Anshen, Xu Zhuojun, David, Wu Shijie, etc. joined hands with Kaka, Jialun, Piglet, Egg Tart and other impromptu belly troupes to interpret the story of Guangfu... The top ten players also fully demonstrated the spirit of Guangfu teenagers' sunshine confidence and courage to fight in the competition.
It is reported that the competition has been held since 2018, so far it is the fourth session, always adhere to the inheritance of Cantonese dialect, promote Cantonese culture for the purpose, with Cantonese dialect competition as the theme, the event was broadcast on the Pearl River Channel "Cantonese Style" column, the highest single period of the highest viewership market share of up to 13.04%, the cumulative number of viewers over 100 million; short video network platform launched the "Cantonese dialect competition" topic interaction, the number of broadcasts exceeded 60 million, Cantonese learning boom swept the campuses of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
In addition, in order to continue to build the brand influence of the "Cantonese Dialect Competition", the competition created the theme song "Qi Speak Cantonese Dialect", and invited Yangcheng comedian Huang Junying and the famous singer Dongshan Young Master Dongshan, who has the reputation of "Guangdong Sound Business Card", to sing, the theme song will be launched on the whole network in the near future.
