One person, ten days, a thousand miles... Zhao Jianjun, a 50-year-old uncle in Wuhan, measured the jingchu earth with his feet. After returning to Shiyan to visit his relatives before the National Day, he set off in the early morning of October 1, ran all the way east, ran 518 kilometers, and successfully arrived in Wuhan on the afternoon of October 10.

October 10th, this is a good day that means "perfect and perfect". At about 5 a.m. that day, when most people were still immersed in sleep, Zhao Jianjun got up early, set off from Xiaogan, stepped on the 316 National Highway, and ran all the way to the east. On this day, he will complete the ten-day running journey from Shiyan to Wuhan and realize his dream of "super horse".
A few days ago, after Wuhan entered the autumn "one second", the continuous rain turned into heavy rain on the same day. At 2:30 p.m. on the same day, Zhao Jianjun, wrapped in a turban and wearing a summer running suit, arrived in Wuhan's Economic Development Zone in heavy rain. The runners of the Long-distance Running Association of DPCA Automobile Co., Ltd. also heard the news and rushed to run behind Zhao Jianjun in the rain, accompanying him to run the last few kilometers before the finish line.
Near 3 p.m., at the entrance of the DPCA headquarters building, the Jimu news reporter saw an orange figure, holding aloft the "Ultra Marathon" flag with one hand, running from a distance. "I'm back!" Crossing the finish line, Zhao Jianjun hugged his wife who had been waiting here early and cried with joy.
In order to prepare a simple triumphal ceremony, the company issued a certificate of completion to Zhao Jianjun to commemorate this great ultramarathon. "63.17 km!" When Zhao Jianjun pressed the code table he was counting in his hand, he personally filled in the last day's mileage on the certificate.
When six years of runners have always had a "super horse dream"
Zhao Jianjun was born in 1970 in Kaifeng, Henan Province, to support the construction of the second automobile, and in 1985, he followed his parents to Shiyan, Hubei Province. After graduation, Zhao Jianjun inherited his father's business and dedicated himself to the Hubei automobile industry. In 1995, Zhao Jianjun came to Wuhan alone, and then became a chassis technical engineer of DPCA, met his wife in the company, and lived a happy family life.
In 2015, the Wuhan Houguan Lake Half Marathon was held in front of Zhao Jianjun's home, and although Zhao Jianjun, who loved sports, had never been exposed to long-distance running, he still enthusiastically signed up and participated in the "personal 10 km" single event. Zhao Jianjun told reporters that on the same day, he also saw a team of elderly people, who did not change their color and did not beat their hearts, and ran a 21-kilometer half marathon.
"Anyone in their 60s can run half a horse, why can't I?" The scene in front of him deeply touched Zhao Jianjun, so he made up his mind to start long-distance running exercises, and the more he ran, the more he loved it. As of September 20 this year, he has completed his 999th run, accumulating 12,764 kilometers.
Zhao Jianjun told Jimu News that this ultramarathon trip began to brew two years ago. At the beginning of this year, Zhao Jianjun began to prepare, planning to take advantage of the National Day holiday and spend 10 days to complete this dream. In the early morning of October 1, Zhao Jianjun and his family did not quit and set off alone from Shiyan Youth Square and ran to Wuhan. Today, he finally completed this "ultra-marathon", but his biggest wish since he became a runner.
No less than one "all-horse" trip a day
For this ultramarathon, Zhao Jianjun planned before departure, along the 316 National Highway and 207 National Highway, with a total mileage of 518 kilometers. "Running 50 kilometers a day for the first 9 days is equivalent to at least one 'full horse' every day, and the last day is finished with the last 68 kilometers." Zhao Jianjun told reporters that in May this year, he has begun to make preparations, challenging a daily "half horse" for half a month.
Zhao Jianjun introduced that in order to have a better state to complete the long-distance running, he formulated a strict schedule: get up at 5 o'clock in the morning every day, prepare for warm-up, check out at 5:30 a.m., run for 6 to 7 hours a day, find a place to stay after arriving at the destination, change clothes, stretch and rest.
"In this ultramarathon, I don't deliberately pursue results and pace, as long as I can safely complete the planned mileage." Zhao Jianjun told reporters that before starting every day, he will not eat too much, often a bottle of glucose and a cup of eight treasure porridge, simply to meet the basic energy required by the body. At the end of the day, he will eat a full meal, and his diet is mainly light.
On the way, Zhao Jianjun gained the support of many runners. On the day of departure, several runners cheered for him and sent him out of the Shiyan land boundary, and strangers along the way sent him water. "When I arrived in Xiangyang, there was a young man who pulled me to shoot vibrato, this road is really wonderful, let me never forget." Zhao Jianjun said.
I hope to show the spirit of the Autobots through long-distance running
After ten days of wind and sun, after returning to Wuhan, Zhao Jianjun said that although the long-distance running that he has insisted on for many years has become his love and habit, this challenge ultra marathon is not only to meet his desire for running, but also with a kind of emotion for the company and the spirit of Hubei automobile.
"My family and I are all 'auto people' in Hubei, and the development of Hubei automobiles is based on the accumulation and precipitation of step by step." Zhao Jianjun said that his company has a century-old car brand and has created a "car corridor" in Hubei, and this spirit of hard work and hard work also inspires him to take every step out of the ultramarathon.
Zhao Jianjun told reporters that at present, the company's full staff helps car marketing, so he hopes to "endorse" the company's car in his own special way.
In order to realize his wish to complete this "super horse" and help the development of Hubei automobile, Zhao Jianjun set the mileage of the ultramarathon to 518 kilometers according to the company's factory celebration day on May 18. At the same time, he chose the bronze statue of Comrade Rao Bin, the "Father of Chinese Automobile" on Shiyan Youth Square, as the starting point of the long-distance running, and the headquarters of Wuhan DPCA Automobile Company as the end of the long-distance running. "I want to prove to you that our 'auto people' in Hubei are as tenacious and hard working as I am, and their deeds speak louder than words!" Zhao Jianjun said.
