The name of this small mountain village located in the hinterland of Yimeng Mountain, an old revolutionary area, only entered my ears a few months ago, when the Shandong Photographers Association held a photography correspondence lecture here and set up a creative base. Later, as a second-generation red and retired officer, I became more and more concerned about its miraculous story. It was like a strong magnet that drew me in, determined to see for myself how these miracles could happen. We drove two and a half hours from Tai'an, driving south along G3 to Qufu South east into G1511 (Rilan Expressway), to Mengshan Pass Under the Expressway to the south into the 327 National Highway for about 28 kilometers, and along the mountain cement spacious winding mountain road into the Jiujian Shed Scenic Area.
Under the leadership of Director Liu of the office, we met Lian Shidong, deputy secretary of Jiujian Village. Secretary Lian enthusiastically and detailedly introduced the development and changes of the nine sheds. And asked the artistic director to accompany him on a tour of the entire village. When I came to the nine stone huts with my headlamps after dinner to take pictures, the tranquility, the coolness, the poignancy captured me deeply. In order to try to capture the atmosphere of the inhabited people in that year, I put a lamp in the stone house and used the headlamp to illuminate the outer wall of the stone house. The corn and peppers hanging on the walls make me really feel like I'm crossing, as if I also lived in the age of slash-and-burn farming....
<h3>The story of the nine sheds</h3>
Speaking of the origin of the "Nine Sheds", there is also a bitter history. Legend has it that in the sixth year of the Qianlong Dynasty, a couple surnamed Liu fled the wilderness and took refuge in Longding Mountain, found that there was a natural stone shed to live in, and there was a mountain spring next to it for drinking, so they stayed. Since then, the stone shed has been used as a house, the stone slab has been used as a bed, slash and burn, and it has multiplied and lived. Later, the population gradually increased, and the stone shed was divided into nine rooms with stones, named "nine sheds". Since then, the ancestors have lived here for more than 200 years, until 1963, when they all moved out of the stone shed.
<h3>Hard work</h3>
Jiujian Village is located on Longding Mountain, 640 meters above sea level in the southeast of Pingyi County, Shandong Province. In the past, the nine sheds, the mountains were steep and steep, the cliffs on all sides, the land was barren, the water source was extremely scarce, and the natural conditions and living environment were extremely harsh. From 1741 to 1963, the nine shacks lived in the stone shacks for a long time, living a difficult life of poverty and isolation. Until 1983, the per capita net income was less than 100 yuan, the girls in the village were competing to marry abroad, and the girls in the village were reluctant to marry in, at that time, there were 13 single sticks in the village of 177 people. The nine shed people have been fighting to change the face of their hometown. Beginning in 1984, the leading bodies of the two village committees represented by Liu Jiakun led the party members and masses of the whole village to build electricity, build roads, divert water, and plant fruit trees, worked hard for five years, turned the poor and backward "dry mountaintop" into "a pearl in the Yimeng Mountains," forged the spirit of "unity and struggle, tenacious struggle, perseverance, and arduous pioneering," and became a typical example of arduous pioneering on the national agricultural front.
In 1991, nine shed people went down the mountain to the city to set up enterprises, and built granite factories, construction machinery parts factories, plastic factories and other enterprises in the county seat. In 1999, Liu Jiakun returned from two years of study at Peking University and led nine shed people to establish the Nine Shed Agricultural Science and Technology Park. In cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it lasted 13 years to breed Jiufeng No. 1 honeysuckle that "reached the international leading level of honeysuckle breeding research". Through the Pingyi County Nine Shed Honeysuckle Professional Cooperative and 6 subsidiaries located throughout the country, Jiufeng No. 1 Honeysuckle has been promoted and planted in the country for 100,000 mu. With honeysuckle as the leading industry, Jiujian Shed acquired Qihuang Chinese Medicine Tablet Company and Shandong Mainland Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., built a new factory of Mainland Pharmaceutical and Honeysuckle Tea Industry Co., Ltd., and initially formed a honeysuckle whole industry chain enterprise of "good seed breeding - promotion and planting - dry flower purchase and sales - pharmaceutical, food research and development and production".
<h3>The old revolutionary district</h3>
The Tianbao Mountain District, where Jiujian Village is located, is an important part of the old revolutionary area of Yimeng. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, this was the base area behind enemy lines opened up by the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and Luo Ronghuan, Xiao Hua, and other revolutionaries of the older generation fought and worked here. To this day, there are still places and landscapes such as the "Battle Site of Tianbao Mountain" and the "Former Site of the Lunan Printing Factory of the Beihai Bank". Many of the Huaihai campaigns carried pancake baggage and pushed unicycles from here to launch the victory of the campaign.
<h3>Now there are nine sheds</h3>
At present, the Jiujian Shed Scenic Area is already a mature scenic spot with complete facilities, smooth roads, signal coverage and excellent services. Here 50,000 acres of orchards are connected, spring and autumn, and the four seasons are pleasant. Especially in the spring and March, the mountains are everywhere, thousands of trees and flowers are blooming, colorful, and you are in it, such as in the sea of flowers, as in the painting. Tiger's Nest Grand Canyon, Millennium Vines and Trees, Hanging Heart Maple, Double Breast Peak, Zhang Langbei Jiang Po Peak and other landscapes, natural creation, ghostly craftsmanship. Longmen, Longdingshan Tianchi, Tiantan Reservoir, Tianhu Reservoir, Tianshui Canal, and Loop Road are spectacular. The old house is well preserved and has a deep sense of history. The new scenic spot is modern and comfortable, especially suitable for self-driving leisure. At present, jiujian shed scenic spot has become a "national agricultural tourism demonstration point" and a "AAA national tourist scenic spot".
I have met mr. Li Jin, editor-in-chief of China Enterprise Daily, senior reporter and researcher of Xinhua News Agency, and when the spring blossoms next year, I will once again walk into the nine-room shed village on the cliffs of the clouds and located on the Longding Mountain.
