The nine rooms in Lantian have always had the tradition of planting nine-hole tribute lotus. Its special natural geographical environment makes the nine-eyed lotus produced delicate and white, crisp and sweet without residue, and is the top product in the "fine dish", whether it is cool, cooking, or stewing, it is endlessly evocative.
In the autumn and winter of 2016, the poverty alleviation task force of Xi'an City Investment Group and Lantian County began to transform the wasteland on both sides of the Liuyu River: building water canals, building cofferdams, building farmland water conservancy facilities, creating a "thousand mu lotus pond" that combines agriculture and tourism, and built a phase of three hundred mu of jiukong gonglian industrial poverty alleviation base, which suddenly expanded the planting area of jiukong gonglian by more than twenty times, and formed a unique landscape of "thousand mu lotus pond - ten mile gallery" under the Sanfeng Mountain in Qinling, which not only provided a good place for residents near and far to enjoy the lotus in midsummer. It also made it possible for more people to taste the Jiukong Gonglian, and also led the poor households in the three nearby villages to embark on the road to poverty alleviation.
Fast forward three years, poor households have had a stable income by working in two poverty alleviation industrial bases (the other is a honeysuckle industrial base), and have been lifted out of poverty after the assessment at the end of 2018. Under the leadership of the poverty alleviation team, they are continuing to create a good life with their own labor.
It was a cold winter, and at a glance, the lotus pond lost the delicacy of the past "infinite blue of the lotus leaves", and groups of digging lotus people kept digging in the muddy water, digging lotus, picking, weighing, loading... For several days, despite the cold and freezing weather, the enthusiasm of the lotus farmers has not diminished.
Thousands of acres of lotus ponds, presented in front of the eyes is a scene of harvest, a piece of lotus pond leaves fall to ripen, fresh and crisp lotus roots piled up on the edge of the pond, digging lotus people's faces are full of harvest joy.
They leaned down, hunched over their waists, their hands reaching into the mud, and as the lotus roots were easily pulled out, the smiles on their faces became brighter and brighter, like the warm sun of winter, sprinkling all over their bodies, refreshing their hearts, and reaching their heart sockets.
From planting to harvesting,
Nine-hole gonglian is going to be served.
