While passing through Nanchang, the local governor had just built the Tengwang Pavilion and prepared to celebrate the completion of the Tengwang Pavilion by feasting on the Chongyang Festival, and also planned to make the Tengwang Pavilion famous by borrowing the hands of the literati who attended the banquet. Just when Wang Bo met with the governor, the governor had already heard of his world-renowned talent, so he invited him to participate in the feast, and Wang Bo gladly agreed.
In fact, at this banquet, the governor had selfish intentions. He asked his son-in-law to prepare a preface in advance, hoping to write it on the spot at the banquet in order to achieve the purpose of making his son-in-law famous. Most of the literati who came to the banquet also knew the governor's meaning, and they all resigned and did not write, after all, it was not good to refute the face of the governor. However, Wang Bo has been famous since childhood, and he has cultivated a proud body, but when he encounters such a situation, he does not hesitate to take the paper and pencil and begin to write. At first, the governor was still quite displeased with this ignorant young man, and turned around and returned to the account, but after hearing from the lower population that "the sunset and the lone bird fly together, and the autumn water is long and colorful", the governor could not help but admire "this real genius, when immortal.".
Han Yu, one of the eight great masters of the Tang and Song dynasties, praised Wang Bo's article in the "Records of the New Xiuteng Wang Pavilion", saying that "the less he hears of Jiangnan, the more he is in the guanguan, and the Tengwang Pavilion is the first, which is called magnificent and unique." and to obtain the preface, endowment, and note of the three kings, and to strengthen their words, and to read them in order to forget their worries. ”
Some people are born for big scenes, obviously Wang Bo is this kind of person, and his ability to create on the spot is really breathtaking. In fact, the "Preface to the Tengwang Pavilion" is not the only millennium classic written by Wang Bo on the spot, and he also wrote a poem that has been passed down through the ages at another banquet.
The banquets of the ancient literati generally had a chanting session. Wang Bo once went to a banquet, and at the banquet, everyone was already thunderous about Wang Bo's talent, but some people questioned this. Therefore, some people wanted to force Wang Bo to write poems on the spot and let him out of trouble, so they also specially formulated rules for difficult people, and before writing poems, they should extract a word from the prepared words to write poems for rhyme. It is not easy to write poetry on the spot, not to mention the addition of such a rule, which is undoubtedly more difficult. But Wang Bo did not think so, immediately drew a word, opened it to see that it was a "remote" word, after a little deep groaning, he did not hurry and improvised the following wonderful poem:
"Shangwei Floating River Feast Rhymes with Remote Characters"
The upper year is bright, and Nakagawa is Yukiyuki.
The green Qi mountain is full of leaves, and the red discharge is spent.
The sound of the spring is noisy, and the rainbow shadow shines on the front bridge.
Sadness and spring look far away, and the river road accumulates waves.
First of all, this poem is completely in line with the rules of writing poetry at this banquet in terms of rhyme, and it is the rhyme of the "remote" word that Wang Bo drew, which rhymes to the end. Being able to complete such a poem in such a short period of time, Wang Bo's poem can be seen from this.
Secondly, the content of the poem is also very consistent with the banquet. The first two sentences show that the grandeur of the banquet is nostalgic, and the time of rowing on the floating river on the upper side of the river passes quickly in the poet's feelings, which shows that the poet enjoys the banquet, and this banquet makes the poet feel long. The second two sentences describe the surrounding environment, when the trees on the mountain are covered with verdant leaves, but there is not a single petal on the shore, and the charming Zi YanHong cannot be seen, which actually points out that it was the late spring season.
The fifth and sixth sentences depict the scenery behind and in front of the banquet from the auditory and visual points, the mountain stream spring water behind it dings, and the rainbow shadow in front reflects the bridge. The last two sentences are the poet's sentiments, looking at this twilight spring scene, the poet suddenly felt sad, because the vast river in front of him was full of waves and tides. In fact, "Jianglu Jibo Tide" refers not only to the scenery seen by the poet in front of his eyes, but also to his own encounters, and his early years were also smooth sailing and unlimited scenery, but later he was expelled from the palace because of a "Chicken of the King of Zhou", and his encounter was very bumpy. Although there are ambitions, the world is difficult, and the road of life is full of waves and tides, which makes people sigh.
In fact, looking closely at Wang Bo's life, it may be the arrogant and petite personality cultivated by young fame, he never knows how to hide clumsiness in the face of various occasions, and he is always sharp. This not only made his name early, but also made him a little less cautious on the road of life. In the feudal dynasty with a strict hierarchical system, his end was already doomed.
