I like "Godfather 1" very much, the story is wonderful, gripping and amazing. There are very few excellent works, and even fewer such beautiful novels.

The storyline of "Godfather 2" is independent of the storyline of "Godfather 1", and even if you watch the second part directly, you will not feel that there is any big problem.

The story is boring to read at first. Just like painting, after reading a few chapters and not seeing any form, don't worry, just read it patiently. The further back you go, the more flavor it becomes, and when you read it for a little while, the story slowly has a momentum, and the more you go back, the more powerful it gets!

The protagonist's name is Giriano, and there is a little cousin named Pisciotta. The brothers were forced to become "bandits" at a young age of more than twenty years. In order to survive, the bandit gang took the mountain as king, expanded their power, and formed an influence in Sicily that could not be underestimated. They opposed the oppression of the poor by don Cloche's mafia, against the exploitation of the upper nobility... Robbing the rich and helping the poor has won the support of the poor in the lower classes of Sicily, and its strength has gradually expanded.

Guerrillas, tactics, trust, betrayal, friendship, affection, love, rebellion pervade the whole of Sicily. Giriano used his wisdom and bravery to maneuver with two forces, and often won. The story ends with a lament: Giriano was betrayed and killed by his most trusted cousin. His story will forever be a Sicily legend.

There are a few warmest parts of the story:

Giriano's mother's love and concern for him never stopped until she finally faced her son's corpse.

The love between Beauty Eustina and Giriano.

Something happened between Giriano through the underground passage and the widow Lavibela.

A solid friendship between Giriano and Dean Manfredi.

If "Godfather 1" is the whole wonderful, swinging intestines. Then "The Godfather 2" is "the afterglow goes around the beam, three days without end", and the aftertaste is endless.
