In October 1959, "Honghu Red Guards" was first performed in Beijing as a gift to the tenth anniversary of the National Day of Hubei Province, and has been passed down from generation to generation, experiencing three rehearsals and presenting them on the stages at home and abroad in different versions. This time, the addition of scientific and technological elements and Chinese instrumental music has given this "landmark" national opera a fresh way to open.

As soon as many audiences entered the theater, they found that "Yo, really water grin." "Hanxiu Theater has always been characterized by "water", which is just in line with the story of "Honghu Red Guards", so that the real water scene appears on the stage of this play for the first time. In the most classic scene of "Honghu Lake Water Waves", only a few actors jumped into the water and flew up and down, just like "white stripes in the waves". Han Ying stood at the bow of the boat, and the boat slowly rowed towards the center of the stage, and the joy of victory jumped in front of him.

The audience looks good, but the actors act very easily. Ma Yaqin, played by Han Ying, told the Yangtze River Daily reporter that compared with the common theater, the stage of Han Xiu is 3 times larger, and the 270-degree surrounding the audience seat makes the actors "nowhere to hide" on the stage. "As long as I feel where the audience can see, no matter on or off the stage, I have to lift my breath to enter the role." In order to get on the boat, she needs to run around the theater for half a circle when she moves, "changing clothes while running, and as soon as she sits on the boat, she has to sink her breath to ensure that the singing is melodious." ”

In this classic scene, only a few Red Guards quietly descended from a height of 27 meters, and many viewers inhaled a cool breath. It is reported that 15 actors from Han Xiu participated in the performance, including actors performing in the sky and in the water.

In particular, this is the first time that the play has adopted the luxurious configuration of the national orchestra and symphony orchestra.
