[Watch House Brand News] In March 2021, Audemars Piguet released the latest generation of the Royal Oak Series self-winding chronograph. The new models are all equipped with a 42 mm 18-carat rose gold case, which is the first to carry the brand's latest generation of homegrown chronograph movement Calibre 4401 and is available in four different models. Today, Audemars Piguet is available in The Frost Gold Limited Edition (Model: 26239BC.GG.1224BC.01).

Compared with the 18K rose gold model, the specifications and proportions of the new cream gold limited edition are the same, but the material selection, processing method and overall color matching are different. Audemars Piguet combines 18-carat white gold with cream gold finishes to create a one-of-a-kind texture. This craft originated from the historic Florentine jewelry industry and was given a new interpretation by designer Carolina Bucci. By pounding on the metal surface with a tool with a diamond tip, tiny indentations are formed, creating a "diamond stardust" effect that sparkles like a jewel.

The new watch features an 18-carat white gold case treated in frosted gold, with a diameter of 41 mm and a thickness of 12.38 mm, with a new light grey dial. The dial is engraved with the famous "Grande Tapisserie" check, affixed with a worm-shaped dial and white gold hands and time markers. Despite the single color scheme, the contrast and legibility are very impressive. The dial blends visually with the case and bracelet, giving a strange overall feel when worn.

The new watch is equipped with the 4401 in-house calibre, which is assembled from 381 parts, complex and modern, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), with hours, date and return chronograph functions, and provides a power reserve of up to 70 hours. With the pivot caseback, you can admire the movement's sophisticated construction, including the iconic chronograph zeroing hammer and the solid gold cutout oscillating weight.
