Audemars Piguet's new Royal Oak Offshore Series self-winding chronographs are 42 mm in diameter and 15.2 mm thick. The stainless steel or titanium case is alternatingly polished and brushed for a subtle contrast. The case is fitted with a glare-resistant sapphire crystal mirror, black rubber buttons and a screw-down crown and shoulder pads, with a sheer-bottom design and 100 metres of water resistance.
The light blue or army green dial is engraved with the iconic 'Méga Tapisserie' oversized check, and is decorated with fluorescent Arabic numerals and platinum royal oak hands to ensure excellent legibility even in dark environments. At 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, there are small seconds, 30-minute counters and 12-hour counters. Compared to the original in 1993, the new watch has adjusted the plate layout, with the small seconds and 12-hour chronograph swapping positions. A magnifying glass is provided above the 3 o'clock position for easy reading of date information.
The light blue dial with black sub-dial and the army green dial with the white sub-dial make the contrast clear and easy to read. In addition, the outer edge of the dial is marked with the common tachymeter scale in chronographs.
With the sapphire crystal pivot caseback, admire the built-in Calibre 4404 flyback chronograph movement. Assembled from 433 parts, 32 mm in diameter, containing 40 rubies, oscillating frequency 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), equipped with column wheels and vertical clutches, the movement has a power reserve of up to 70 hours, and is hand-finished with Geneva motifs, satin brushing and polished chamfers. Both watches are fitted with a 22-carat rose gold oscillating weight, adding a sense of luxury and winding efficiency.
Both watches are accompanied by a textile-textured rubber strap matching the color of the dial, with an AP-lettered pin buckle and an additional black calfskin strap.
