The Taiwanese girls who once hated Beijing eventually gained the affirmation of many mainlanders

author:Taipei girl looks at the mainland

"Taiwanese are white-eyed wolves" and "scolding while making money", do you think the same way?

I know that part of the cause of this idea is the Taiwanese people's own "pot," but as a Taiwanese who has been on the mainland for many years, I have met many Taiwanese who have personally practiced "one family on both sides of the strait."

They believe that to make good money here, but also to give some feedback to the land under their feet.

Today's story is one of the most successful examples of cross-strait exchanges I have ever encountered around me.

And this Taiwanese girl, at the beginning, was also a "standard Taiwanese" who "how the mainland is like this", and the mainland friends may want to pinch her at the beginning.

It was such a person, later, who was affirmed by many mainland friends.

The story is a bit long, but nice to watch.

1 Mrs. Taigan of "Three Years Only"

Shao Wei and her husband are both graduates of the Department of Finance and Finance of National Taiwan University, and she is a qualified gifted student, and Shao Wei has a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license in the United States. "You were in Taiwan at the time, what was your monthly income?"

I asked at the same time in the psychology grabbed a number, Taiwan's high-paying people, about 100,000 Taiwan dollars a month.

Shao Wei said that it could reach nearly 200,000 yuan (about 40,000 yuan).

She is the assistant to the chairman, in the industry that serves the richest person in Taiwan, follows the most cattle boss, and looks like a financial witch.

200,000 Taiwan dollars a month, super moist in Taipei! How willing are you to go to Beijing!

Shao Wei smiled, "So at that time, I didn't want to!" ”

The beginning of the story is the story of a standard Mrs. Taigan. My husband was sent to the mainland by the company, and he also wanted to fight for it, but his wife was upset: "We are doing well in Taiwan, why did we go over!" ”

In the end, the traditional southern Taiwanese girls are still "husbands for heaven".

My husband said, sign a three-year contract, you endure for three years.

Well, three years.

In 2011, Shao Wei, who was in her thirties, took her four-year-old daughter and two daughters, who had just been born a year ago, to Beijing with her husband. She told herself that it was only three years.

"Do you know how dirty Beijing was in 2011?"

I said, okay, I came in 2012?

"A lot of people spit on it!" At that time, when I went to the market, wherever I went, there was a pile of phlegm on the ground, and I went out with my two daughters, and I didn't even let them step on the ground. ”

I patted her on the shoulder. "Shao Wei, you are the kind of Mrs. Taigan in my stereotype, while making a fuss about 'here is so strange', 'dirty', I have encountered this kind of wives in school before, all kinds of children go to school, parents are short, mouths are broken and complain." 」

Shao Wei shrugged, yes I am. "But at that time, I was busy with my children, didn't know any Taiwanese, and instead communicated more with my mothers in the Beijing community." At that time, I looked at Beijing completely as a passer-by, and evaluated everything here as a passer-by. ”

Shao Wei's calculation is that after waiting for three years, mr. Husband will return to Taiwan at the end of his term, and the eldest daughter will be able to attend primary school in Taiwan. So instead of letting her daughter take preschool classes on the mainland, she taught her traditional characters and Zhuyin at home.

Unexpectedly, three years later, my husband told her that he had renewed his contract with the company. Seeing the vast potential of the mainland market, Mr. Decided to show his skills again, and Shao Wei, whose eldest daughter was going to primary school, felt that the sun was shining.

It's Already April, and the children have to register in July. So she took her two daughters and rushed to the nearest elementary school.

"I'm going to see your director of admissions." She said to the security guard.

The security guard looked confused. What is the Director of Admissions?

"Director of Admissions, or Dean of Academic Affairs?" She read all the nouns she used in Taiwan, and the security guard finally understood what she meant. "You have to find the school secretary for this matter."

clerk? What is a secretary? In the past three years, Shao Wei, who has not been integrated into mainland society and promised to pass by, is stupid. "Then please give me the secretary's phone."

The head of the security guard was gone. "You can't call the secretary, you can't just look for the secretary!"

"My daughter is going to school!" Didn't you say that the secretary was in charge of this? My daughter has to go to school. ”

The mainland security guards and Taiwan peppers made trouble at the school gate for half a day, and finally the head of the security guards, adhering to the spirit of family affinity on both sides of the strait, asked a circle of people, gave her the secretary's phone, and wanted to send away this Petitioning Taiwan compatriot.

Unexpectedly, she immediately began to call at the school gate, and the head of the security guard was also nervous. "Why did you call the secretary directly like this?" You can't call the secretary like this! ”

In Beijing in April, when the wind was blowing that day, Shao Wei repeatedly called at the school gate, accompanied by the voice of the head of the security guard, "You can't do this."

No, my daughter has to go to school!

After twenty minutes of phone calls, the secretary, who had just finished busy, finally answered. After some consultation, the enrollment was successful.

I reminded Shao Wei that this story was written down, "Because you are a Taiwanese, they will help you" and "preferential treatment for Taiwan compatriots" will be a lot of voices.

Shao Wei said, yes, it was indeed a door open to her.

But because of this, her daughter went to school, which opened her fate with Beijing.

2 Dog paradise

In the second semester of the first grade of the eldest daughter's primary school, Shao Wei, who attaches great importance to the education of children, set up a story club at home, and every Friday afternoon, invited her daughter's classmates to listen to stories at home, or make pizza together and other recreational activities.

In the first semester of her second year, she began rehearsing plays with the children of the story club and performing at the orphanage. In the second semester of the second grade, a certain mainland mother suggested that the children of the story club had rehearsed the drama anyway, so they simply performed a musical together on Lei Feng Day and went to the hearing-impaired rehabilitation center near the primary school to perform.

In this way, all children can turn in Lei Feng's day homework!

"Wait, how do hearing-impaired children listen to musicals?" I raised my hand and asked.

Shao Wei laughed. "Yes! So at that time, we just wanted to give our children homework and didn't really want to do good deeds. ”

Unexpectedly, the hearing-impaired children in the rehabilitation center watched very seriously and laughed because of the storyline. It turns out that if you do things with your heart, the other party can feel it. Shao Wei really felt it for the first time.

After the performance, the principal of the rehabilitation center asked her if she would like to stay and teach the hearing-impaired children to perform musicals.

"They also want to stand on stage, not forever, and listen only offstage." The principal said.

Shao Wei did not know sign language, and many of the children in the center did not know how to read, so the drama training class was born.

In order to integrate into the rehabilitation center, Shao Wei will take two children to the rehabilitation center every Saturday and Sunday, and the two children also begin to eat a large pot of rice in the canteen of the rehabilitation center that is not so good.

A few years ago, Shao Wei was a Taiwanese mother who did not let her children step on the ground and was often dirty.

For four months after Lei Feng Day in March, the children of the Shaowei Education and Rehabilitation Center rehearsed a musical drama "Dog Paradise", which is a group of stray dogs who have lost confidence in social feelings, and finally found a home and experienced the love story of society.

In July, Dog Paradise performed in a corporate park that has long sponsored a rehabilitation center.

After the performance, the chairman of a company in Tianjin handed her business card to Shao Wei and told her that if she wanted to do anything in the future, she was willing to help.

At that time, Shao Wei did not pay attention to it, and after the performance, the child fulfilled his dream of going on stage. It should be a happy ending.

Unexpectedly, just two months after the end of the Dog Paradise performance, due to rent pressure, the rehabilitation center moved from the prime location of Haidian District to a very remote place. After moving out of the city, many volunteers in the rehabilitation center were also inconvenient to go over, and the rehabilitation center was suddenly much deserted.

The new site of the rehabilitation center, two hours by subway from Shao Wei's home in Haidian District. Just when Shao Wei hesitated whether to continue to stay in the rehabilitation center to help, the hearing-impaired children told her that everyone was gone, and they didn't want us.

It's like a stray dog in dog paradise.

Shao Wei decided to stay.

3 The original "Rainbow Angel Cafe"

The rehabilitation center that moved to the suburbs was quite large and could be put to good use. Shao Wei suddenly thought that people who came to visit the rehabilitation center, or volunteers at the rehabilitation center, could sit down and drink a cup of coffee and eat a cookie? So she wrote a picture book for a coffee house for the hearing impaired.

Many people told her, don't think about it, the rehabilitation center environment is not so ideal, who does not want to eat afternoon tea in a stylish, beautiful café? And the hearing impaired children in the rehabilitation center are many from poor rural areas, how do you teach them who have never drunk coffee to make coffee and make snacks?

Shao Wei raised donations for half a day, was splashed with a bunch of cold water, and was still short of some money.

Remember the Tianjin entrepreneur in the previous chapter? The entrepreneur made up the difference.

In the story meeting she set up, there was a mother of a daughter classmate who was very good at making cookies, just to train the adult hearing impaired masters.

The first generation of Rainbow Angel Cafe, in March 2017, was born.

After the hot handmade biscuits were packed, Shao Wei ran to the door of the school to sell biscuits.

Mainland friends exclaimed, Chengguan arrested you, big sister!

She thought stunnedly, what is chengguan?

After the opening of the coffee house, Shao Wei really understood that the cold water that her friends used to poured was indeed reasonable. No one wants to drink coffee inside a rehabilitation center. Handmade biscuits are sold, but also supported by relatives and friends, and their income is unstable.

In July 2017, the coffee house was in trouble. Another turning point in Shao Wei's life came. Her school district changed the policy of Taiwanese children to go to school, and the younger daughter once again encountered difficulties in going to school, and the school suggested that she go to the district Taiwan Affairs Office.

Someone from the District Taiwan Affairs Office suggested to her that the Taiwan business organizations in the district might have a quota for Taiwanese to go to school, and that they could go to Taiwan businessmen they knew and ask about it. She told the Taiwan Affairs Office, "I don't know any Taiwan businessmen or organizations. ”

The other party was stunned, you have been in Beijing for six years, what have you been doing for six years?

She said to do... cafe?

People from the district Taiwan Affairs Office pulled her into the Taiwan business group, and in this way, her story opened up in the Taiwan business group. She has received many orders from Taiwanese companies in Beijing, and the mainland media have begun to report it.

"However, at that time, the dim sum in the coffee house was really not very tasty." It's all a friendship. She laughed. Many of the dim sum in the coffee house are that I go back to Taiwan to study, and then teach the master when I come back. I'm a roaster myself, and I didn't know anything about it before I made a coffee house. ”

She said that a Taiwanese businessman once ate her apple crisp, and her face was ugly, and she didn't know whether to buy it or not.

"You are roasting xiaobai, how dare you make a coffee house!" I couldn't help but complain.

Yeah, how dare you. She laughed. Just do it.

Even when teaching the hearing impaired master to make snacks, Shao Wei's sign language was still half hanging, and the masters could not read a few characters.

It was a few half-hangers, who had the courage to open a coffee house.

4 "They must learn to be independent"

With the help of Taiwanese circles and friends from all over the mainland, and also receiving some media attention, Shao Wei and dim sum masters continue to improve their craftsmanship. But the days are not settled.

In July 2018, the rehabilitation center once again faced relocation due to local planning and development. Moved from Tongzhou to Shunyi, and then relocated again due to illegal construction problems. In just three months, the rehabilitation center moved three times.

Shao Wei decided to let the coffee house out of the rehabilitation center, to create a not only to set up a charity sale, please ask friends to support, but can let more people see, is the kind of public eyes, selling dim sum coffee house.

One of the main points of independence is that Shao Wei wants these adults, but they have always lived at home or in the rehabilitation center, are very dependent on their families and rehabilitation centers, and have almost no ability to take care of themselves, and learn to be self-reliant.

"They are not independent now, and they may not have a chance in the future."

So Shao Wei entrusted various relationships and found a farm in the more remote area of Beijing as a coffee house base, and there were also cheap rent places near the farm where the masters could use the dormitories. On the one hand, Shao Wei continued the coffee house business, and on the other hand, she had to teach the masters basic life skills such as washing rice and cooking.

Shao Wei talked about the process of "independence" of the teachers, which was almost laughing with tears! One month, the dim sum master's dormitory spent nearly 10,000 electricity bills, and when I asked, I learned that the masters would turn on the air conditioner at any time for 24 hours, and the doors and windows were also open. The dormitories are large and the natural electricity costs are high.

"At that time, when I saw the electricity bill, the tears fell down, and with the various pressures of the past, I really shed tears."

In March 2019, the "second-generation coffee house" opened, and also began to hold various activities, such as corporate team building to experience the "farmhouse", dim sum baking classrooms and so on.

In September 2019, some companies looked for Shao Wei to order a Mid-Autumn Festival gift box, and the egg yolk crisp was sold out of stock. At that time, the Rainbow Angel Coffee Shop, rather than "buying to do charity", was more about the taste being affirmed by consumers.

The masters, gradually affirmed by the public, are qualified dim sum masters.

Everything seems to be getting better again, and in the winter vacation of 2020, Shao Wei returned to Taiwan with her daughters happily, and the next wave of shocks came again.

In 2020, the epidemic has hit all industries hard. Shao Wei received a notice from the owner of the farm, and the affected farm was unable to support it. The masters who have returned to their hometowns have helped the family farm and raise pigs, but they still often ask Shao Wei expectantly: When will the coffee house be reopened?

At that time, everyone was worried about the epidemic, and Taiwan was not greatly affected by comparison. Shao's relatives and friends, including those in Beijing, advised her to stay in Taiwan for the sake of her children. But in March 2020, she returned to Beijing with her children.

She again moved to a small entrepreneurial town in Haidian through various contacts—Taiwanese, mainland, Taiwanese organizations in Beijing, regional governments, and later because of subsidies from Beijing's Haidian district to Taiwanese entrepreneurs.

Throughout 2020, everyone took care of themselves, but the coffee house, in the end, still insisted, and even had its own small branch in a shopping mall in Beijing.

The branch opened by the teeth has become a milestone in the great progress of the masters' independence.

When I got a small branch in the mall, in fact, the store was almost overwhelmed, but in order to be seen by more people, Shao Wei still insisted on doing it. The original plan was that the master who could communicate with the guests would greet the guests, and the master who could not communicate would concentrate on making snacks.

She had also worried that the hearing-impaired masters who were not too confident in themselves and were afraid of the outside world did not want to do it.

But now in 2021, these masters can open shops independently, receive customers, close shops, and even go to meetings with malls themselves.

Independent pastry chefs now return to the rehabilitation center to teach others to make dim sum.

Solve the problem of food and clothing, feel the love, and finally give back.

The Taiwanese girls who once hated Beijing eventually gained the affirmation of many mainlanders

The headquarters of "Rainbow Sky Coffee House" located in the entrepreneurial town of Haidian District, Beijing.

Write at the end:

Shao Wei said that if it were not for the coffee house, I am afraid she would not be so integrated into Beijing. Volunteers from both sides of the café get along happily.

Shao Wei has also been questioned many times: The world is for the name of profit, are you for the name or for the benefit?

This is why, in interviews with the media, she repeatedly came up with the keywords of Taiwan University's financial funds, financial licenses, and high monthly income.

In order to prove yourself, "you don't have to do this to make money."

Taipei girls look at the mainland, rather than doing public welfare, or show themselves more love, the most fundamental intention of this article is to think that hearing a story worth writing and interesting.

I am a media person who does cross-strait exchanges, and I want to tell you that in the era of political confrontation, it is not "Taiwanese people are white-eyed wolves" or "scolding while making money." Everyone lives here, and in their daily lives, they eat a pot of crayfish with colleagues and friends from the mainland.

Many people work silently and silently contribute to society.

Compared with the beautiful words of the officialdom, this is the real cross-strait family.
