Pay attention to food safety and stay away from health hazards

Recently, the Food Safety Supervision Department of Hunan Province organized food safety sampling inspection of 327 batches of samples in 12 categories, such as beverages, quick-frozen foods, potatoes and puffed foods, and confectionery products. Among them, 310 batches of samples were qualified for sampling inspection items, and 17 batches of samples were unqualified. The information and inspection results of unqualified food are as follows:

1. The lime preserved fruit (fruit products), sorbic acid and its potassium salt (in terms of sorbic acid) produced and sold by Hunan Dakui Biotechnology Co., Ltd. do not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards;

2. The braised beef soup (sauce and brine meat products), sorbic acid and its potassium salt (in terms of sorbic acid) produced and sold by Hunan Shengduo Food Co., Ltd. do not meet the provisions of the national standards for food safety;

Sorbic acid and its potassium salts are acidic preservatives, which have a good inhibitory effect on the activity of mold, yeast and aerobic bacteria. The National Standard for Food Safety The Standard for the Use of Food Additives (GB 2760) does not stipulate that the use of sorbic acid and its potassium salt is allowed in fruit and vegetable juices (pulp), which indicates that sorbic acid and its potassium salt shall not be used. Sorbic acid and its potassium salt are acidic preservatives, which have a good bacteriostatic effect and inhibit the growth and development of mold, yeast and gas bacteria. However, if you eat sorbic acid in excess of the standard food for a long time, it may have a certain impact on the body's bone growth, kidneys, and liver health.

The total number of colonies is an indicative microbial indicator, not a pathogenic indicator, reflecting the hygienic status of the food in the production process. If the total number of colonies in food is seriously exceeded, it will destroy the nutritional composition of food and make the food lose its edible value; it will also accelerate the spoilage of food, which may endanger human health. The National Standard for Food Safety Beverages (GB 7101-2015) stipulates that the total number of colonies in a sample of liquid beverages shall not exceed 104 CFU/mL, and at least 3 test results shall not exceed 102 CFU/mL. The National Standard for Food Safety of Cooked Meat Products (GB 2726-2016) stipulates that the total number of colonies in a sample of cooked meat products (except fermented meat products) shall not exceed 105 CFU/g, and at least 3 test results shall not exceed 104 CFU/g. The National Standard for Food Safety (GB 17401-2014) stipulates that the total number of colonies in a sample of puffed food shall not exceed 105 CFU/g for 5 times, and the results of at least 3 tests shall not exceed 104 CFU/g. The National Standard for Food Safety Honey (GB 14963-2011) stipulates that the total number of colonies shall not exceed 103 CFU/g.

4. The peroxide value (in terms of fat) of the baishou fruit (original peanuts) sold by Xiyin Food Business Department in Yuhua District, Changsha City, and produced by Hunan Meiweijia Food Co., Ltd., does not meet the national standards for food safety;

The peroxide value (in terms of fat), the peroxide value mainly reflects whether the oil is oxidized and deteriorated. With the oxidation of oils and fats, the peroxide value will gradually increase, generally will not affect human health, but too high may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea and other symptoms. The National Standard for Food Safety for Nuts and Seeds (GB 19300-2014) stipulates that the maximum limit value of peroxide value (in terms of fat) in cooked sunflower seeds is 0.80g/100g. The reason for the unqualified peroxide value in mature sunflower seeds may be that the production enterprise does not strictly control the raw materials, uses inferior raw materials for production, or the production process of the enterprise is not up to standard, so that the final product oil is oxidized, or the product storage and transportation conditions are improper.

Coliforms are the most common class of bacteria in the guts of humans and animals and are often used as indicator bacteria for food contamination. Excessive coliform bacteria indicate the possibility that the food is contaminated with pathogenic bacteria in the intestine. After human infection with E. coli, symptoms such as stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea and fever may occur, so they should be strictly controlled in the production and sales process.

6. Youxian Guiquan Natural Mountain Spring Co., Ltd. production and sales of township mountain spring packaged drinking water, Pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards;

7. Changde Dingcheng Lingquan Pure Water Factory production and sales of drinking pure water, Pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards;

8. The Xuefeng Luquan Drinking Water Factory in Dongkou County produces and sells Xuefeng Luquan packaged drinking water, and the Pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the national standards for food safety;

9. Dongkou County re-employment grain and oil store sales, Hunan Hongjiang City Xuelang Water Plant production of Xuefeng bottled drinking water, Pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards;

10. The Lipin Tea Spring (packaged drinking water) produced and sold by Yueyang Lipin Food Co., Ltd., the Pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards;

11. The source of Baoshan Spring Water produced and sold by Xinhuang Baiyan Mineral Water Co., Ltd., pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards;

12. Loudi Xuquan Beverage Co., Ltd. produces and sells Muderson drinking natural rock spring water, pseudomonas aeruginosa project does not meet the national standards for food safety;

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common gram-negative bacillus that is an obligate aerobic bacterium growing at a temperature range of 25 to 42 °C. Due to its low nutritional requirements, it is widely present in environments such as water, soil, food, and hospitals. At the same time, because of the strong resistance to physical and chemical factors such as disinfectants, dryness, ultraviolet rays, etc., there are greater health risks for people with weak resistance, which is easy to cause acute enteritis, meningitis, sepsis and skin inflammation and other diseases. China's latest drinking water standards clearly stipulate that Pseudomonas aeruginosa shall not be detected in every 250mL of water samples, and require each batch of finished products to be tested for Pseudomonas aeruginosa before leaving the factory. If detected, it is a non-conforming product and should be recalled and discontinued.

14. Xinhua Meishan Ice Spring Pure Water Co., Ltd. production and sales of Meishan Ice Spring packaged drinking water, residual chlorine (free chlorine) project does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards;

Residual chlorine refers to the amount of chlorine left in the water after chlorination disinfection and contact for a certain period of time. The role of residual chlorine is to ensure continuous sterilization and to prevent water from being re-contaminated. The reason why the residual chlorine (free chlorine) in packaged drinking water exceeds the standard may be that the production process control of the enterprise is not strict or the production process level is low, and the content of residual chlorine cannot be effectively controlled; it may also be that the water source is polluted and the enterprise uses a large amount of chlorine to disinfect. Excess chlorine in packaged drinking water is harmful to the respiratory system, easy to react with organic matter in water, and harmful substances such as chloroform are generated.

15. The coconut juice plant protein drink produced and sold by Changde Golden Orchard Science and Technology Food Co., Ltd. does not meet the national standards for food safety;
