Wang Zhaoxiang is the founding major general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the former president of the Engineer Academy.
At the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Wang Zhaoxiang served as the commander of the 6th Regiment of the 120th Division.
He participated in and led the armed struggle to create and develop the Shen (Mu) Fu (Valley) Red Army and the Shen (Mu) Fu (Valley) Jia (County) Yu (Lin) Revolutionary Base Area, and commanded the anti-"encirclement and suppression" struggles in the Shen, Fu, Jia, and Yu Revolutionary Base Areas, so that the Shenfu Red Army grew from the initial 7-person team to more than 2,000 people; the Shenfu Jiayu area developed into a red base area with an area of 42,000 square kilometers and a population of 140,000.
Wang Zhaoxiang fought bravely, was not afraid of danger, and commanded well, was a famous legendary Red Army commander in northern Shaanxi, and was praised by his father and fellow villagers of Jiayu in the Shenfu As a "black fox tiger" who eliminated harm for the people.

In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, he led his troops from northern Shaanxi to northwestern Jin, from northwestern Jin to Shandong, then to the northeast, and from the northeast to Guannan to Hunan. Wang Zhaoxiang, born in 1909, is a Shenmu person in Shaanxi. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1928. In 1932, he joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
During the agrarian revolutionary war, he served as the leader of the special task force of the Red 26th Army, the political commissar of the Shenfu (Valley) Special Task Force, the leader of the 3rd Detachment of the Red Army Guerrilla Detachment in Northern Shaanxi, the leader of the Shenmu County Guerrilla Regiment, the commander of the 3rd Regiment of the Independent Regiment of the Red Army in Northern Shaanxi, the commander of the 3rd Regiment of the 48th Division of the Red 27th Army, the deputy director of the Military Department of the Shenfu Special Committee of the Communist Party of China, the deputy commander of the Shenfu Red Army Headquarters, and the commander of the Shenfu Independent Division.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Wang Zhaoxiang served as the deputy director of the rear guard office of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army and the commander of the 6th Regiment of the Left Guard Corps. In 1941, he went to Shandong and served as the deputy commander of the 1st detachment of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army, the commander of the Independent Regiment of the Qinghe Military Region, and the commander of the 2nd Military Subdistrict of the Luzhong Military Region. In October 1942, he went to the Party School of the Shandong Branch of the Communist Party of China to study, and after graduation, he became the commander of the 4th Military Sub-district of the Bohai Naval Region. He participated in the anti-"iron wall encirclement" operation in the Yimeng Mountains and the great counteroffensive of the Shandong Military Region.
During the Liberation War, he served as the commander of the 21st Brigade of the 7th Division of the Northeast Democratic Coalition Army, the commander of the 18th Division of the 6th Column of the Northeast Democratic Coalition Army, the commander of the 5th Military Subdistrict of the Northern Liaoning Military Region, the commander of the 18th Division of the 6th Column of the Northeast Field Army, the commander of the 162nd Division of the 49th Army, and the commander of the Hengyang Military Subdistrict. He participated in the "Three Lower Jiangnan", "Four Bao Linjiang", Liaoshen, Hengbao and other battles.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wang Zhaoxiang successively served as deputy director and director of the Logistics Organization and Command Department of the Logistics College, president of the Senior Engineering Corps School, and vice president and dean of the Engineering Corps College.
