Wang Zhaoxiang (1909.10.16---2009.06.03), a native of Wangjiahouwa Village, Shenmu Sha'an Town, Shaanxi Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1928 and the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in 1932. During the agrarian revolutionary war, he successively served as a propaganda committee member of the party branch of the Shaanxi-Gansu guerrilla cavalry brigade, the captain of the red 26 army guard, and the secretary of the party branch of the red 26 army cavalry company, and participated in the battle to consolidate and expand the Shaanxi-Gansu border base area. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he served as the commander of the 6th Regiment of the Eighth Route Army's Left Guard Corps, and led his troops to participate in the battles to open up the Jinsui Anti-Japanese Base Area and defend the Defense of the Yellow River. Later, he went to Yan'an to study at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University and the Marxist-Leninist College.
