——Shenmu exhibition area debuted at the 2021 Chinese Traditional Crafts Revitalization Theme Design Exhibition
Recently, the 2021 Beijing International Design Week "Theme Design Exhibition on the Revitalization of Chinese Traditional Crafts", sponsored by the Organizing Committee of Beijing International Design Week, the Management Center of the China Millennium Monument and the China Millennium Monument Art Museum, was officially opened at the Beijing China Millennium Monument. With the theme of "Rejuvenation of Hundred Works, Life is the Way", the design exhibition is divided into three main sections: great wall national cultural park, urban renewal and rural revitalization. The Great Wall National Cultural Park section takes the Great Wall as a link and focuses on the cultural tourism and cultural resources of cities along the Great Wall.
During the exhibition, Xiang Zhaolun, former vice minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and special researcher of the China Architectural Culture Research Association, Zhang Yujie, former deputy director of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and former vice chairman of the China Industrial Design Association, Liu Linghong, executive vice president and secretary general of the China Architectural Culture Research Association, Zhu Di, director of the Literature and Art Bureau of the Central Propaganda Department, and other guests visited the exhibition.
Committed to the protection of the Great Wall, practicing the spirit of the Great Wall
Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province, has a total of 550 302 kilometers of Great Wall relics from the Warring States Qin, Sui and Ming dynasties, passing through 11 town streets such as Daliuta Experimental Area, Sunjiacha Town, and Dianta Town. Among them, there are 153 remains of the Warring States Qin Great Wall, 23 remnants of the Sui Great Wall, and 374 remains of the Ming Great Wall. In the Shenmu Dynasty Great Wall, the Weiming Great Wall is majestic, stretching across the lock key, the Yue Mai Dynasty, and the remains of trenches, piers, and fortresses still exist.
Liu Ni, head of the cultural relics section of the Shenmu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, said that in order to inherit and protect the cultural heritage of the Great Wall, Shenmu City has strengthened the supervision and protection of the Great Wall and made positive progress in the protection and utilization of the Ruins of the Great Wall. In 2020, the Shenmu Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government set up a leading group for the protection of the Great Wall, successively promulgated the "Shenmu City Great Wall Protection management measures (Provisional)" and "Shenmu City Cultural Relics Safety Joint Conference System", held the Shenmu City Great Wall Protection Conference and the Great Wall Forum, and at the same time implemented the fence project and emergency reinforcement project for important points of the Great Wall, actively carried out the preliminary work of the Gaojiapu Core Display Area Project of the Great Wall National Cultural Park, and incorporated the protection and management of the Great Wall into the government's annual target responsibility assessment system. These measures have greatly strengthened the determination of the government and society to protect the ruins of the Great Wall, formed a strong atmosphere of joint efforts by the whole society to protect the Great Wall, and contributed to the protection, inheritance and utilization of the Great Wall with practical actions.
Carry forward traditional culture, inherit charm and intangible cultural heritage
Shenmu has a profound cultural heritage and unique folk culture, and has 87 intangible cultural heritage protection lists, including 7 provincial intangible cultural heritage protection lists. Folk instrumental music such as sighing and three strings, folk songs, wine songs, storytelling and other folk art, and intangible cultural heritage such as carpets, noodle flowers, bronze ware, and iron art shine together, jointly building the unique cultural charm of northern Shaanxi.
The design exhibition exhibited the manga Shenmu, Fengxi Peony Silk Scarf, Orchid Flower, Sangzi Old Event Map, Shenmu New Year Ceremony, Hand-painted Shenmu Series Cultural Creation and other projects. The manga Kanki uses the hometown of Kamiki as the manga object, and uses a paintbrush to outline the local history of Kamiki and historical figures. The whole book is simple and simple, and the author uses a freehand painting style to show the customs and customs of Shenmu; the inspiration for Fengxi peony silk scarf comes from folk cloth pile paintings, peasant paintings, murals, paper-cutting, embroidery and other works in northern Shaanxi. Based on the shape of cloth pile painting, drawing on the color of embroidery, after continuous innovation and improvement, the original silk scarf with the rich flavor of northern Shaanxi has finally been formed; Shenmu folk paper-cutting is an art form that the Shenmu masses like to hear, which is widely used in all aspects of festive festivals and folk activities, adding infinite fun to people's lives.
Promote the integration of culture and tourism and the development of innovative industries
Shenmu cultural tourism resources are abundant, the natural environment has created the natural beauty of Shenmu, and the 5,000-year history and culture have implanted the charm of Shenmu humanities. Shenmu is the capital of the Yellow Emperor clan of Xuanyuan, the ancestor of China, and the ruins of Shi'an add a mysterious veil to Shenmu. Shenmu is the hometown of the famous Northern Song Dynasty general Yang Jiajian, and the ruins of Yang Jiacheng are still preserved. At the same time, Shenmu is also an integral part of the old revolutionary areas in northern Shaanxi, leaving behind the life footprints of revolutionary martyrs such as Zhang Wentian, He Long, Liu Zhidan, Wang Zhaoxiang, and Bethune...
In recent years, Shenmu has continuously innovated and developed in the cultural tourism industry, and has continued to launch the "2020 Cultural Tourism Industry Construction Year" and "2021 Cultural Tourism Industry Upgrading Year", taking the cultural tourism industry as an important engine of economic growth and an important force to promote the transformation of economic structure. Combined with the "14th Five-Year Plan" special plan for the development of the cultural tourism industry, Shenmu City has continuously improved the "one mountain, two waters and three cities" cultural tourism framework system.
