(iii) In order to legitimately govern the entire territory of the country, Russia needs to establish relations with the Golden Horde

Therefore, Russia regarded the Golden Horde as its own history, respected the founder of the Golden Horde, Battus, as a national hero, and regarded itself as the heir of the Golden Horde. In this way, Russia could continue to administer the federations of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus as heirs, thus continuing its strong rule.
