The opening ceremony of the "Life and Letters Exhibition of Hu Hua's Centenary Birth" was held at Chinese University

China Daily, May 9 (Reporter Zou Shuo) On May 6, the opening ceremony of "Life is Struggle - Hu Hua's Centenary Birthday Life and Letters Exhibition" was held at the Museum of Chinese Min University.

In 2021, the party ushered in the centenary of the year, the whole party set off a wave of party history study and education, the Communist Party of China is about to usher in the 100th birthday, in this moment of full expectation of the whole party and the people of the whole country, the school in the form of joint commemoration of the party's peer, the COMMUNIST Party of China party historian Professor Hu Hua, the upcoming party's centennial birthday special celebration.

Jin Nuo, secretary of the party committee of Chinese Min University, Qi Pengfei, deputy secretary of the party committee, and Wang Yi, vice president and director of the museum, attended the event.

Xie Chuntao, vice president of the Central Party School (National Academy of Administration); Zhu Jiamu, former vice president and member of the party leading group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Zhu Jiamu, former secretary of the party leading group and director of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies; and other external leaders; representatives of the descendants of revolutionaries of the older generation, representatives of the party history and academic circles, representatives of the cultural and artistic circles, and Hu Hua's family attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, the host Wang Yi gave a brief introduction to the exhibition.

Yang Deshan, vice president of the Institute of Cpc History and Party Building at Chinese Min University, gave a report on the latest development of the discipline of CPC history.

Xie Chuntao reviewed his study at Chinese Min University, as well as Mr. Hu Hua's cultivation and teachings, and spoke highly of Hu Hua's educational achievements.

Zhu Jiamu recalled the past when Teacher Hu Hua devoted his painstaking efforts to the teaching and research of party history, and put forward hopes for Chinese University to continue to create a brilliant party history discipline.

Jin Nuo said that Professor Hu Hua is a well-known expert in the study of the history of the Communist Party of China and one of the founders of the discipline of party history of the Communist Party of China. In his nearly half-century academic career, he adhered to the spirit of "life is struggle, death is rest", "self-willingness to be poor, indifferent to fame and fortune", "modesty and rigor, and excellence", actively rescued party history historical materials, cultivated talents in party history, promoted academic exchanges in party history between China and foreign countries, made great contributions to the creation, construction and development of the discipline of party history in the whole country, and also promoted Chinese University to become an important founder and navigator of the discipline of party history in colleges and universities across the country. It is worth the serious study of generations of masters and students.

Jin Nuo stressed that at the important moment of celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, as the first new type of regular university founded by the Communist Party of China, Chinese University resolutely implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, and the whole university carried out in-depth study and education in party history. The holding of this exhibition will not only provide rich materials for teachers, students, and party members of our school to study party history in depth, but also play an important role in promoting our study and study of the great history of the century-old party under new historical conditions, building and strengthening the discipline of CPC history, and creating a new situation in the cause of party history.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition also received congratulations from Comrade Li Jie, president of the Chinese Historical Society and former president of Qiushi Magazine, and Professor Dai Yi, a close comrade-in-arms of Professor Hu Hua, honorary director of the Institute of Qing History of Chinese Min University, and director of the Qing History Compilation Committee.

Mr. Hu Hua is the founder of the discipline of CPC history, and also the founder of the discipline system and teaching system of CPC history in colleges and universities, and many of the students he has trained still play a supporting role in the field of party history, and cultivate new people from generation to generation. Today, the discipline of CPC history has encountered an unprecedented era. We miss Mr. Hu Hua even more, and his outstanding contribution to the creation of the discipline of cpc history cannot be replaced by anyone, and it is not too much to evaluate.

Comrade Hu Hua was a pioneer in the study of the history of the Communist Party of China in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. After the opening ceremony, the guests visited the exhibition.

Located in the adjacent exhibition hall on the second floor of the Museum of Chinese University, the exhibition selects the precious photos, teaching materials, research documents of Professor Hu Hua's teaching of the history of the Communist Party of China in the war, as well as hundreds of letters left behind before his death. Closely following the theme of "life is struggle", the exhibition organically links Hu Hua's personal growth history, the history of education and development of Chinese University, and the history of the cpc's century-old struggle, restores historical events with historical materials and cultural relics, concentrates on Professor Hu Hua's growth experience, teaching and research contributions, revolutionary spirit, and academic thinking, and shows in a point-by-point manner, summarizing and condensing that our party and the majority of party members have always stood in the forefront of the trend of the times, stood at the forefront of overcoming difficulties, and stood among the broadest masses of the people. A magnificent picture of the continuous struggle for the rejuvenation of the country and the happiness of the people.

Hu Hua (1921~1987), a native of Fenghua, Zhejiang, was a famous Chinese historian and an expert on the history of the Communist Party of China.

Born in December 1921 in Fenghua, Zhejiang Province, to a family of clerks. In 1937, he graduated from Zhejiang Provincial Higher Normal School. In 1938, he participated in the local anti-Japanese salvation movement, and in October he went to Yan'an and entered the Northern Shaanxi Public School to study. He joined the Communist Party of China in February 1939. In the revolutionary contingent, he experienced the historical process of half a century of Shaanxi North Public School, North China United University, North China University, and Chinese University, and unswervingly engaged in the teaching and research of Marxist theory and the history of the Chinese revolution and the history of the Communist Party of China, and was one of the founders of the discipline of the history of the New Democratic Revolution and the history of the Communist Party of China. It has made indelible and tremendous contributions to the foundation, pioneering and innovation of the discipline of CPC history throughout the country.

From North China Union University to Chinese University, he has been teaching courses on the history of the Chinese revolution and the history of the Communist Party of China, and is an important pioneer of this course. He has successively served as the director of the Teaching and Research Office of Chinese Revolutionary History and the History of the Communist Party of China at Chinese Min University, the director and honorary director of the Department of Party History of the Communist Party of China, and the doctoral supervisor; the member of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Modern Chinese History of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; the representative of the Seventh and Eighth People's Congresses of Beijing Municipality; the first and second members of the Disciplinary Review Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council; and the convener of the political science and sociology groups.
