In the celebration of the centenary of the Communist Party of China and the upsurge of in-depth study of party history throughout the country, Shi Hongliang's book "Research on Hu Hua's Academic Thought" was published by Sun Yat-sen University Press. Hu Hua is a famous Marxist historian and educator, an important founder and pioneer of the discipline of CPC history, and a banner of the CPC's cpc history circles in New China.

In 1921, Hu Hua was born into a family of ordinary employees in Fenghua, Zhejiang. Hu Hua is the same age as the party, which is undoubtedly a coincidence of time, but he became acquainted with the history of the Communist Party of China in his youth, and spent his whole life propagating and studying party history, but he was driven by faith and original intention to struggle and vow and life choice.

In October 1938, at the age of 16, Hu Hua resolutely went to Yan'an under the inspiration of the Anti-Japanese Salvation To study and fight revolutionarily under the guidance of the Communist Party of China. Because of his political proficiency and outstanding achievements, Hu Hua studied in the ordinary class and advanced research class of The Northern Shaanxi Public School, joined the party and stayed in the school to teach, and in early 1940 he took to the podium to teach the history of the Chinese revolution at the North China United Congress in the Jin-Cha-Ji anti-Japanese base area, and began to study the history of the party's struggle. He worked tirelessly in the midst of the war, and published in the Liberated Areas the history of the struggle between the workers of Jingsui and Chahar, the history of the invasion of China by Japan and the United States, and the history of China's modern revolutionary movement. After the founding of New China, Hu Hua devoted himself to his beloved cause of party history with full enthusiasm and perseverance, and soon grew into a well-known scholar at home and abroad. He successively wrote "History of China's New Democratic Revolution," co-authored "Outline of Chinese History" with Zhai Bozan and Shao Xunzheng, edited "Lecture Notes on the History of the Chinese Revolution" and "Lecture Notes on the History of China's Socialist Revolution and Construction," and compiled many pioneering and influential historical works throughout the country, such as "Comrade Zhou Enlai in His Youth," and other pioneering and influential historical works throughout the country; he participated in the establishment of the department of Chinese University that led the major in the history of the Communist Party of China in domestic colleges and universities; and trained a number of professionals in disciplines In 1979, he initiated and organized the establishment of the National Society for the Study of Figures in the History of the Communist Party of China, presided over the establishment of important academic groups such as the National Society for the Study of the History of the Communist Party of China in 1980, took the lead in communicating with the international academic community and publicized the history of the Communist Party of China in the spirit of science and openness, and edited the first large-scale series of party history chronicles in New China, "Biographies of Figures in the History of the Communist Party of China" (volumes 1-50). Whether it was the years of revolutionary war or the period of peaceful construction, Hu Hua always upheld the purpose of serving the people with firm faith, struggled all his life on the party's cultural and educational front, immersed himself in learning, ingenuity and cultivation of talents, and realized the value of life worthy of the times and the people.

Hu Hua once chanted a poem in 1975: "Finch flying leaves green elm money yellow, sitting alone in the south window, reading Marxism-Leninism with a tide of thoughts, and Hua Zhang is not always in a thousand autumns." The poem expresses his firm revolutionary conviction and determination to explore the history of the Communist Party of China in the source of Marxist theory. At the end of 1987, when Hu Hua was seriously ill and his life was hanging in the balance, he was still relieved about his unfinished business, especially the manuscript of the "Biography of The Characters of the History of the Communist Party of China" (volumes 1-50) that he edited and had not yet been completed. In his will, he called this a great leader in the cause of studying the history of the Communist Party of China. It can be said that Hu Hua's life was a life of selfless dedication and pursuit of truth, and a life of dedication to the propaganda, teaching, and research of party history. His whole life walked with the Party and accompanied the History of the Party.

After Hu Hua's death, people continued to write songs praising his life and praising his noble character. For example, a number of books on Hu Hua, such as "Hu Hua's Commemorative Anthology", "Remembrance of the Historian Hu Hua", "Revolutionary Historian Hu Hua", "Wanting to Strengthen the Iron Shoulder to the Exhaustion -- Hu Hua's Poems Copied", "Birth is Struggle -- Collected Essays commemorating the Centenary of Hu Hua's Birth", and a number of books on Hu Hua have come out one after another or are being published. In 2013, the six-volume "Collected Works of Hu Hua", which focuses on Hu Hua's thought and academic achievements, was published; the special lecture on the history of the Communist Party of China named after the "Hu Hua Lecture Hall" at Chinese University has also been held for more than 30 sessions. Hu Hua's life course and historical thinking are more three-dimensional and are being comprehensively presented to the world. On the basis of his doctoral dissertation written in 2011, the young scholar Shi Hongliang combined with the research results of recent years and integrated new research insights into the book "Research on Hu Hua's Academic Thought", which was published on the occasion of the centenary of Hu Hua's birth, adding a weighty new achievement to Hu Hua's research.

On the basis of comprehensively reviewing the history of Hu Hua's history of the CPC, the book "Research on Hu Hua's Academic Thought" systematically sorts out Hu Hua's historical heritage, evaluates Hu Hua's academic achievements, and expounds Hu Hua's main historical thoughts. The book has several commendable points: First, it deliberately seeks information. The author once went to the archives of Chinese University to read Hu Hua's archives, interviewed some of Hu Hua's relatives, friends, and colleagues, collected and read many related articles, and engaged in writing on the basis of a large amount of first-hand information. The works are informative and well-documented, and to a certain extent, they inherit Hu Hua's style of governing history from history and combining history with history. Second, we have a profound understanding of Hu Hua. On the basis of carefully studying Hu Hua's academic achievements and conscientiously understanding the history of party history, the author grasped the true meaning of Hu Hua's life and the essence of his thinking, highly condensed Hu Hua's academic achievements, and clearly defined Hu Hua's academic status in the field of history, especially in the field of party history, and more appropriately summarized Hu Hua's thinking and spirit of governing science. Third, the whole article is full of affection. The author strives to comment on Hu Hua's academic thought and contributions from an objective and dialectical standpoint and seek truth from facts. In the process of studying Hu Hua, the author was not only inspired by the knowledge and ideas, but also deeply infected by Hu Hua's lofty spirit of "life is struggle", and the words revealed the author's respect and love for the predecessors in the academic field. Overall, the text of the book is simple, logically rigorous, and fully expounded, and it is a masterpiece of the history of party history that is worth reading.

At present, studying party history has become a popular trend for the whole people. This reminds us of the august 12, 1983 Article published by Hu Hua in the Beijing Daily entitled "Party History, You Must Not Read", in which he wrote: "The history of the Communist Party of China and the history of the Chinese revolution must not be read. Reading books on the history of the Party and the history of the revolution will inspire us to carry forward the spirit of patriotism and resolve to struggle for the rise and rejuvenation of China and its take-off in the world. In this regard, we also believe that reading the newly published book "Research on Hu Hua's Academic Thought" will also be of great benefit to today's in-depth study and study of the history of the Communist Party of China.
