He Zhizhang was indeed a poet of the early Tang Dynasty with a pure heart, and Li Bai was 42 years old, and they were famous for their friendship in the Tang Dynasty. There is also a good story about him and Li Bai.
He Zhizhang gave Li Bai the wind and took the golden turtle to change the wine to drink
In the first year of Tianbao, the two met in Chang'an, when Li Bai was 41 years old and He Zhizhang was 83 years old.
Then when Li Bai first arrived in Chang'an, he saw He Zhizhang. He Zhizhang invited him to drink, and specially untied the scarab beetle around his waist to exchange for wine. This incident had a profound impact on Li Bai. In Li Bai's poem, it is repeatedly mentioned that the interaction between him and this old ancestor was mentioned, and He Zhizhang sighed as "who immortal" as soon as he saw Li Bai, which means that you seem to be an immortal from the heavens and the earth.
Li Bai was also quite concerned about such a title, and in his later poems, he repeatedly referred to himself as "who immortal". So we can see that He Zhizhang not only had a very close relationship with the nobles of the imperial palace at that time, but he was also particularly willing to reward latecomers like Li Bai.
He Zhizhang: A cute little old man
We now seriously recall that a high-ranking official, a poet with a pure and pure heart, a predecessor who was willing to reward and advance backwards, his personality was so wild, so heroic, and he was good at writing calligraphy, and mortals asked for it, and they never refused.
Therefore, we think that He Zhizhang is in our minds, what a cute little old man, and if there are more such little old men in our poetry world, then how rich our spiritual food and spiritual life should be.
The prosperity of Tang Dynasty poetry, these people are indispensable
The poetry of the Tang Dynasty was described in a very wide range, ranging from flowing poems like Li Bai to poems like Du Fu's caring for famous places, both poems like Li Shangyin's writing of love, poems like Wang Changling's writing of border plugs, and more poems like He Zhizhang, who, although high-ranking officials and had rich experience, were still able to write poems with simple words, profound creations, and far-reaching influence on future generations.
On the one hand, we need the kind of magnificent and fierce poems in Tang poems, and we need those poems with family and country feelings, but at the same time, such brisk and childlike poems as "I don't know who cut the fine leaves, the spring breeze in February is like scissors" also nourishes our body and mind.
