The health care of the Tang Dynasty poet He Zhizhang

The health care of the Tang Dynasty poet He Zhizhang

He Zhizhang, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, died at the age of 85, and the wild, open-minded and leisurely health care feelings embodied in his legendary life also won the affirmation and favor of the world.

A tumbler for officials in politics

He Zhizhang was the first well-documented champion in the history of Zhejiang, who was first awarded the four doctorates of Guozi, and since then he has begun his eunuch career for most of his life. Although he successively experienced the four emperors of The Zhongzong Li Xian, Ruizong Li Dan, Great Zhou Wu Zetian, and Xuanzong Li Longji, no matter who was in charge, they all entrusted him with heavy responsibilities and appreciated him. Even when he returned to his hometown at the age of 84, even the emperor had to personally lead the civil and military officials and send them off reluctantly, which was enough to see He Zhizhang's lofty status and prestige in everyone's minds, and also reflected his diligence as an official and his sincerity as a person from one side. It is also this pragmatic style and noble personality that have laid a solid foundation for its health and longevity.

Innocent old naughty boy

Although he has been in a high position all his life and has to go in and out of the court for a lot of time, He Zhizhang in life has a pure temperament and a stubborn heart, and is an old naughty boy who is not compromised. His leisurely, playful attitude towards human life has gradually formed a set of maverick principles in the childlike self-sufficient world. He Zhizhang has many friends, and they often drink and write poems and play entertainment together, leaving many literary stories for this. Du Fu once wrote in "Drunken Eight Immortals": "Zhizhang rode like a boat, and his eyes fell into the well and slept under the water. Probably it is said that He Zhizhang was drunk once, riding on horseback like a boat, and fell into the bottom of the well without paying attention, fortunately, it was not a big problem, otherwise, I am afraid that he would not have slept peacefully under the water as mentioned in the poem.

Behave like a madman

Unlike being diligent and cautious in government, He Zhizhang appeared rough and brash and uninhibited in his dealings with the world, showing a completely different personality. Especially in his later years, he called himself "Four Fanatics". In fact, this kind of personality trait is manifested in him, not only is not contradictory or conflicting, but has a strong complementarity. It cannot but be acknowledged that this is also one of the important factors determining their physical and mental health. He Zhizhang's temperament is broad and bold, his appearance is charming, he is good at communication, and he likes to make friends, these personality characteristics have become the biggest highlight of his life, and he is envied and imitated by people at the time. At that time, He Zhizhang read Li Bai's poems, and it was difficult to hide the excitement in his heart, and blurted out a sentence of "who immortals also", and the result was a good story for eternity.

Transcendent and enlightened

A popular "Wing Liu", coupled with the sincere "Book of Returning To The Dolls", is enough to achieve the poet He Zhizhang's well-known reputation. But what is less known is that He Zhizhang was once keen on participating in the Zen Enlightenment Path, putting himself in nothingness, and finally reaching the ideal state of forgetting things and self, and then forming an indifferent disposition that is indisputable and idyllic and leisurely with the world.
