There is a simplest way, is to learn inkblots, and from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Republic of China period, the world has disappeared the traces of the authentic Ouyang Inquiry Book, which is why the world learns less of the reasons for ou Kai, until 1900, the dunhuang Tibetan scripture cave opened, a large number of Jin and Tang Dynasty law books appeared in front of the world, there is a piece of Ouyang Inquiry authenticity buried in Dunhuang for more than 700 years, began to move towards the vision of calligraphers.
This work is the famous Ouyang Inquiry Letter Dunhuang Testament.
In this Dunhuang testament, some of the handwriting on it has fallen off, and only more than 200 words can remain, but despite this, this work is also an extremely rare model for learning Ou Kai.
After this work was unearthed in 1900, Dunhuang successively came a large number of predators, of which the British Stein stole the most complicated things, while the French sinologist Bo Xihe in Dunhuang after more than a month of "careful selection", and finally returned with a full load, Dunhuang's most important treasures, were robbed by the French in their own country, now hidden in the French National Library.
Of course, this includes this rare "Dunhuang Testament".
Some people say why is the style of this "Dunhuang Testament" different from the "Jiucheng Palace Monument"? In fact, for the top calligraphy masters, each of their works will not be too similar, how loyal is Wang Xizhi's ruler? It is difficult to find two characters with similar styles, and among the masters of the Tang Dynasty, the faces presented in each period of their own are not the same, which is the natural principle of calligraphy.
After the Song Dynasty, there was a decline in calligraphy of "ten thousand papers together".
Taking ten thousand steps back, when we see this "Dunhuang Testament", a temperament of the tang dynasty jumps on the paper, even if this work is not written by Ouyang Qing, it must also be written by the Ou Kai master of the Tang Dynasty, and it must also be the true transmission of the European style brushwork, whether it is the technical level or the artistic value is difficult for posterity to reach.
For contemporary friends who study Ou Kai, when you copy this work thoroughly, your understanding of the pen and knotting skills of Ouyang Qiankai will have a qualitative leap, and this work is also the most intuitive Fa Ti of ou Kai in the Tang Dynasty.
Today, we have restored the original work of the entire volume of Ouyang's "Dunhuang Testament" in the National Library of France, and restored a work with a similarity of more than 99.9% to the original work.
