They were all born in May 2019 and are independently artificially bred by the brother venues of Nanjing Underwater World, a "young boy" and a "young girl". In recent years, due to over-hunting and environmental pollution, the number of Asian small-clawed otters has decreased sharply, and it has been listed as a vulnerable animal by the World Conservation Union, and China has also listed it as a second-class protected animal.
