Lu Runzhen (1841~1915) was a native of Yuanhe (now Suzhou, Jiangsu). He returned to Suzhou with his mother's illness and ran Suzhou business. Guangxu Gengzi (1900) The Eight-Nation Coalition invaded, and the Empress Dowager Cixi made a draft on her way to the west. Later, he served as the secretary of the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Officials, and the official was a scholar of Taibao, Dongge University, and Tirenge University. In 1911, when the Imperial Cabinet was established in the third year of Xuantong, he served as the president of the Bitokuin Academy. After Xinhai, he stayed in the Qing Palace and served as Puyi's teacher. Died in the fourth year of the Republic of China, gave the prince and the prince, and gave him Wenduan. Its calligraphy is clear and smooth, and it is close to Europe and Yu. However, the pavilion is a little heavier.

Decades ago, a friend gave me a copy of the Qing Lu Runzhen Kaishu "The Biography of Qian's Mother", which was printed by the Shanghai Xunji Tablet Society. 12.3 cm wide, 26.6 cm long, 24 pages. Each page has 36 grids, each grid is 2.6 centimeters square, and the word diameter is about 2 centimeters. There is no publication time, it is estimated that it should be a publication in the forties and fifties of the last century, and it has been sixty or seventy years ago.
My friend said that it was an old book in his house, and he didn't know calligraphy, so it was useless to keep it, so he gave me some hope. At that time, I saw that it was Lu Runzhen's regular script, and knew that this was a Qing Dynasty pavilion style calligrapher, and I felt that the writing was good, but it was only suitable for beginners to learn regular script.
I thought that I was already at the level of a "member of the Book Association", and the pavilion body had no meaning for me to learn, and at that time, the book world had a lot of complaints about the pavilion body, and it almost formed a trend of "encirclement and suppression". So I put it on the shelf, who would have thought that it would be decades at a time.
In fact, now it seems that the pavilion style is a practical style of writing for the Qing people, a bit similar to the eight-strand text, which is the general style of the official regulations, and the scholars write it in order to cope with the imperial examination, the purpose is to become an official. It doesn't seem to be too close to the art of calligraphy, and there is no need to compete with the pavilion.
Recently, I saw it again while tidying up my office, and the vicissitudes of time have made this booklet yellow and brittle. To tell the truth, the old master's words still look shining, without the air of fireworks and elegant and graceful.
The more I looked, the more I felt that Lu Runzhen's writing was really good, and I really admired their ability to control pen and ink. Suddenly, somehow, I seemed to see him sitting upright in a chair, holding his beard, and smiling at me, "How do you see my handwriting?" How can I write it, can you? I'll make an uplink, can you give it right? Hahahaha......"
At present, it does not matter whether you write well or not, it is not related to the national economy and people's livelihood, it will not increase GDP, and it will not affect your promotion because of your poor handwriting. However, our ancients had high requirements for writing well.
As early as the Tang Dynasty, the criteria for selecting officials were clearly stipulated by the Ministry of Officials: "There are four things in the selection of people, one is the body, and the body is magnificent; Second, it is said that the words are corrected; Three books, take its model to be beautiful; Fourth, the judgment is based on its liberal arts and sciences. ”
At that time, if you want to be an official, you must not only be plump and burly, but also have a good image; Strong reasoning and judgment, good eloquence, the third item is to write a good regular script, followed by being good at writing articles.
There are many posts to learn from writing, and there are many famous regular script masters and their classic works that are worth emulating, and what to learn depends on personal hobbies and aesthetic pursuits. Whoever makes it a fan.
Let's be honest, at the moment, there is no need for the big guys to write such a word, and it is impossible to become an official by relying on a good word.
