The rapid development and widespread popularization of information technology has triggered a new round of revolution in human society in the digital era, and also promoted the digital transformation and learning revolution of higher education. The metaverse is a digital virtual space for human life, work, creation and entertainment supported by a new generation of information technology and an ecosystem that integrates virtual and real. Metaverse education uses metaverse technology to carry out education, and provides student-centered immersive, experiential, interactive, and collaborative teaching and learning through technologies such as virtual and real integration and artificial intelligence, so as to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of education and teaching. Metaverse education services provide intelligent services for educational and teaching activities and processes, teachers and students/learners in the metaverse environment, and improve teaching quality, learning experience and learning efficiency. Focusing on the new characteristics, new forms and new scenarios of AI-enabled metaverse education and services, this forum invites experts from universities and enterprises to discuss metaverse education and its services, metaverse education ecosystem and service space, metaverse education industry development, typical application scenarios of metaverse education services, etc., and widely discuss the development direction of metaverse education and services, and the way of education digital innovation.

He is a fellow of CCF and a professor of Harbin Institute of Technology

Former Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology and President of Weihai Campus, Fellow of China Computer Federation. He is also the deputy director of the Teaching and Guidance Committee of the University Software Engineering Major of the Ministry of Education, the deputy director of the Steering Committee for Teaching Informatization and Teaching Method Innovation of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Expert Advisory Committee on Education Digitalization of the Ministry of Education, the leader of the Expert Group of the Industry-University Cooperation and Collaborative Education Project of the Ministry of Education, the director of the Executive Committee of the Joint Committee of the University Online Open Course Alliance, and the executive vice chairman of the China University Computer Education MOOC Alliance. He was the executive director of CCF and the director of CCF Service Computing Committee. His research interests include service computing, service science and engineering, enterprise intelligent computing, software engineering, education digitalization, metaverse education, etc. He has published more than 300 academic papers in important international journals and conferences; He has served as the chairman of the conference or co-chair of the program committee at international or national academic conferences for more than 40 times. He has won 2 first prizes and 1 second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, and more than 10 provincial teaching and scientific and technological achievement awards. Title: AI-Enabled Metaverse Education and Services

Abstract:In recent years, generative artificial intelligence and a new generation of information technology led by the metaverse have promoted profound changes and "digital disruption" in higher education. The global higher education community is exploring new forms and models of "AI + education" in the era of digital intelligence. On the basis of reviewing the global trend of digital development in higher education, this report points out the new direction of digital education innovation, MOOC and digital course teaching, and expounds the new forms and characteristics of "AI + education" and "metaverse + education". New concepts such as metaverse education, open metaverse course OMC, metaverse education service, and metaverse education service space are proposed, focusing on the ecosystem of AI-empowered metaverse education and services and its new education and teaching mechanism, and the new concepts of education and teaching based on {<生-课-场>} and { in the metaverse environment are proposed<师-课-场>The cross-time, space, and cross-domain service aggregation and optimization method of super-mode supply and demand matching gives a new future education scenario based on metaverse classrooms and places, and discusses the problem of AI-enabled education and evaluation for students' ability improvement in the era of digital intelligence. Finally, the future development trend of "AI + education" and "metaverse + education" is put forward.

Title: Construction and Application of AI-based Metaverse Teaching Scenarios

Abstract:In the context of the rapid development of digital technology, the education field is ushering in a revolution driven by the metaverse and artificial intelligence (AI). This study aims to explore how to use AI technology to build effective teaching scenarios in the metaverse platform, and analyze its application potential and practical utility in education. First, we outlined the basic concepts of the metaverse and AI technologies and their convergence points in the field of education. Subsequently, this study introduces some practical cases and applications in the construction of metaverse teaching scenarios, and discusses how to improve learning interactivity, enhance the immersion of learning experience, and promote cross-regional collaborative learning in metaverse teaching scenarios. Finally, we put forward a series of strategies and suggestions to solve the challenges that may be faced in practical applications, and look forward to the development prospects of AI-based metaverse teaching scenarios in future education.

He graduated from the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010, studied at McGill University in Canada after graduation, and served as an associate researcher (associate professor) of the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on industry dynamics and solution implementation practices in the field of higher education scientific research for a long time, with 14 years of work experience in the field of higher education scientific research, and experience in landing solutions in professional scientific research scenarios such as artificial intelligence, deep learning, and high-performance computing; He has won 1 first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award, and has published 30 research papers, 13 authorized patents, 9 authorized software copyrights, 34 authorized integrated circuit layouts, and 5 authorized utility models. Through an analysis of AWS's technical capabilities and success stories, this in-depth discussion explores how generative AI is revolutionizing educational content creation, personalized learning experiences, and instructional assessment. The research focuses on a number of innovative applications, including AI-powered story generation systems, emotionally intelligent teaching assistants, automated assignment grading, and multilingual content generation.
