On July 20, 1973, Bruce Lee died suddenly at the home of Hong Kong movie star Ding Pei, leaving behind an unfinished movie with Jiahe, "Game of Death".
In order to stop the loss, Jiahe Pictures approached Hollywood director Robert Cross to direct a reshoot, adding footage from bruce Lee's finished film to concoct a Game of Death.
Released in 1978, the film grossed HK$3.44 million, ranking 7th in the total box office that year.
This movie Pi Ge has been introduced before, in which Kim Tae-jung and Yuan Biao made Bruce Lee's action doubles, and the face close-up doubles were played by a Hong Kong businessman who looked exactly like Bruce Lee, and his name was only translated into English, called "Chan Yiu Bo".
Because this benevolent brother was not interested in acting, he disappeared after starring in this film, and later Jiahe filmed "Tower of Death" and wanted to ask him to continue to play Bruce Lee's stand-in, but he could not find him anymore.
In fact, in addition to the above three, there was also a star who was recognized as very similar to Bruce Lee in terms of both skills and appearance, and Jiahe made him the first choice at the beginning, but he categorically refused.
This very characterful star is He Zongdao, who is known as "Bruce Lee No. 2". The reason for his resignation was also simple, he thought that being Bruce Lee's stand-in in "Game of Death" was disrespectful to Bruce Lee.
However, He Zongdao, who debuted as early as 1972, has been imitating Bruce Lee since bruce Lee's death, and he has launched films such as "A Generation of Raptors", "Tangshan Cut Boxing", "The Last Jingwumen", "Cut Fist Kill", "New Game of Death" and so on, and also changed his English name to "Bruce Li".
But among these films, the highest quality is 1976's Bruce Lee Legend.
"The Legend of Bruce Lee" is choreographed and directed by Wu Siyuan, in order to make this movie, the filmmakers can be described as painstaking, they not only invited Bruce Lee's former friends Xiao Qilin and confidant Ding Pei to play themselves; they also found Ip Man's eldest son Ye Zhun to play Bruce Lee's master Ip Man.
The film starts from Bruce Lee's trip to the United States to study, with his fame experience as a clue, adding a large section of martial arts drama, in order to attract the audience, the script added some wild historical anecdotes to it, making the story very vivid and interesting.

In April 1959, Bruce Lee was sent to the United States by his parents to study because of his troubles in Hong Kong.
Before leaving, he visited his master Ip Man.
In the United States, Bruce Lee was very popular among his classmates, and after studying, he made a living by doing odd jobs and teaching Chinese kung fu to foreigners.
In the American martial arts world at that time, Japanese karate was the hot topic.
Because Bruce Lee taught Chinese kung fu, he often clashed with the local karate gym, and every time he had to fight hard.
At the same time, because the local national art circles opposed Bruce Lee's teaching of foreigners to learn Chinese kung fu, they often had friction with Bruce Lee.
But Bruce Lee is always a soldier to block, and those who can use fists and feet are not nonsense.
Of course, this is also for the needs of the plot, as an action movie, there will be a martial arts fight every once in a while.
Later, Bruce Lee received attention from Hollywood companies for his performance at the National Karate Open Competition, which eventually led him to participate in episodes such as "Green Hornet".
Originally Bruce Lee had ambitions to write a script and take it to Fox to try his luck.
Fox executives were interested in the script, but disagreed with Bruce Lee himself, because no one would risk a yellow man as the lead actor in a Hollywood movie.
So Bruce Lee decided to leave the United States and return to Hong Kong to develop, and after signing a contract with Jiahe, he quickly became popular throughout Asia with "Big Brother Tangshan" and "Jingwumen".
During the filming of "Big Brother Tangshan" in Thailand, Bruce Lee got into a fight with a local boxer because he provoked a Thai dragon suit.
Of course, this plot is fictional in the movie, but many people still believe that Bruce Lee once fought with a Thai boxer.
Master Zhao Zhiling also played a martial artist who competed with Bruce Lee in the film;
Mars plays a worker who admires Bruce Lee;
Feng Ke'an and Li Haisheng were beaten by Bruce Lee on the set of "Dragon Fight tiger fight".
The highlight of the film is Bruce Lee's wheel battle with three mafia masters when he went to Rome, Italy to shoot "Raptors Across the River".
In this play, He Zongdao showed his double-knuckle stick kung fu and danced like a model, which shows that he has done a lot of hard work.

Lin Zhengying, Chen Huiyi, Hong Jinbao, Yuanhua, Jackie Chan and others, who were promoted by Bruce Lee at that time, were often invited to his home as guests, and they could get a glimpse of Bruce Lee's daily diet and training.
Legends about Bruce Lee, such as eating raw beef and using muscle concussion to train muscles, came out of their mouths.

And these legends are restored in the movie, and they are more exaggerated-
For example, in a situation in Bruce Lee's film where he is plugged in to a power supply and practiced with a very strange machine, it seems to be masochistic.
In fact, the machine where Bruce Lee practices boxing in the film is a Japanese machine called a muscle concussion machine, which is an instrument used to repair muscles.
Bruce Lee was injured because of excessive exercises, so he used this machine to do physiotherapy, not at all to strengthen muscles, nor to practice boxing.
Not only that, but the movie's joke about Bruce Lee continues until Bruce Lee's death.
Ding Pei made a gorgeous appearance, and Bruce Lee eventually died lying in her bed.
Around the cause of his death, the film says 3 possibilities: like dying without knowing what Ding Pei did; walking on the street and being hacked to death; and even more bizarre, saying that he faked his death and went into seclusion after he listened to a fortune teller.

"The Legend of Bruce Lee" was introduced to our mainland very early, and its influence in the 70s and 80s was extremely extensive, and many post-80s generations, including Pigo, most of them knew Bruce Lee from this film.
At that time, many people mistakenly regarded Ho Zongdao as Bruce Lee himself, and as for the exaggerated plots and stories of fighting at every turn in the movie, some people still think that it is true, which is one of the reasons why Bruce Lee has always been misunderstood in our mainland.
He Zongdao is 178cm tall, which is obviously taller than Bruce Lee himself, and his handsome appearance, even if he does not imitate Bruce Lee, is a tangible action star.
But he has always lived in the shadow of Bruce Lee, although he is better than others, but no matter how good he imitates others, he is not his own after all.
Therefore, after the rise of Hong Jinbao, Jackie Chan, Liu Jialiang and others, these films of He Zongdao have slowly lost their market.
The wheel of the times is always moving forward, standing still, and it will be farther and farther away from the audience.
