On August 2, sponsored by the China Care for the Next Generation Working Committee, the China Social Welfare Foundation and the China Trust and Charitable Foundation, and undertaken by the School of Continuing Education and Teacher Training of Beijing Normal University, the opening ceremony of the 12th "Gardener Program - China Care for the Next Generation Education Base" Principal Comprehensive Ability Improvement Seminar was held in the Jingshi Building of Beijing Normal University.

At the opening ceremony, Feng Yongcheng, principal of Guandi Town Central Primary School in Dunhua City, Jilin Province, made a speech on behalf of all the students. In his speech, he mentioned that the education base project has built a bridge for teachers in rural areas with limited resources, so that everyone has the opportunity to get in touch with the most cutting-edge educational theories and feel the pulse of educational innovation.
For primary and secondary schools, the growth and progress of principals will directly affect the quality of schools, the growth environment of students, and the future development of society. According to the career development needs of primary and secondary school principals, this training focuses on education policy, education management and education innovation, integrates educational beliefs, educational psychology and humanistic accomplishments, and designs 10 units of high-quality face-to-face courses. The training lasted for 5 days, with the core goal of improving the president's policy comprehension, strategic vision, innovative thinking, team management and other comprehensive capabilities, and invited a team of experts led by professors from Beijing Normal University to present cutting-edge and professional theme lectures to the students.

In this workshop, 58 primary and secondary school principals from 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities formed 6 study groups, including primary and secondary school principals from Jilin, Liaoning, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia, Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Yunnan, Hunan, Fujian and other provinces and regions. Xia Wu Caidan from the First Nationality Boarding Primary School in Jianzha County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, and Yijia from the First Nationality Complete Primary School in Yushu City, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, were interviewed by a reporter from China's Tibet Network.
It is reported that Beijing Normal University has a long history of friendship and cooperation with the China Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation and the China Social Welfare Foundation. In 2022 and 2023, Beijing Normal University undertook the 10th and 11th phases of the "Gardener Program", which is the training program for mathematics and Chinese teachers in China's care for the next generation education base, benefiting more than 2,600 teachers from 116 schools.
