Insects

Reading Notes(1)

"Insects" is a very fascinating book. The author of this book is Fabre. He spent his whole life studying the insect world, and I really admired his perseverance and perseverance.

How wonderful the insect world is. The author uses that lively prose and relaxed and witty tone to describe to us the scenes of the insect world. Like a miser, the willow longhorn wore a short tuxedo dress that seemed to be lacking in fabric; "The little beetle made selfless dedication to its offspring, and broke its heart for its children"; A baby sparrow bitten by a venomous spider will also "eat happily, and if we feed slowly, it will even cry like a baby". Also, fireflies, ants, spiders, caterpillars...... There are many interesting stories, vivid insect scenes, covering almost all the details about insects feeding, protecting themselves, mating, raising offspring, working, hunting, and life and death.

"Insects" is indeed a rigorous scientific work, a beautiful literary classic, and an immortal insect epic. Worthy of the title of "Epic of Insects", "Homer of Insects"!

Entomologist Fabre took care of insect nature with human nature, and worked hard to write the masterpiece "Insects", leaving a treasure of prose rich in knowledge, interest, beauty and thought. He didn't have a day or a night, he was alone, quiet, almost isolated from the world of loneliness and hardship. Born, this genius with delicate feelings and profound thoughts, this great scientist with philosopher-like thinking, artist-like observation, and writer-like narration opened a door to the world of insects, but also to science.

Fabre had a keen interest in insects, so his Insects made me feel like I was watching insects all the time. Every insect has the same emotions as a human. For example: "The locusts who have panicked completely forgot the trick of '36 strategies are the best policy'. “

When I read "Insects", I can even imagine the images of insects in action, and the eyes are no longer boring words, but mysterious nature. Cicadas are singing, spiders are catching food...... There are such interesting things in the mysterious nature, and my respect for nature comes naturally!

Reading Notes (2)

"Insects" is the work of the famous scientist Fabre, and I was fascinated by it when I first saw it.

After reading this book, I learned that the nest of Qingzhu Peak lives under damp soil; The natural enemy of the praying mantis is the smallest ant; Tarantulas are the most poisonous of spiders, people lose consciousness after being bitten by it, small animals die immediately after being bitten by it, and there are many insects whose names I have never heard of.

When I saw the illustration of "Crickets in the Fields", I couldn't help but be surprised: Oh, isn't this the kind of black bugs that were all over my house during the summer vacation! They sang and danced happily every day, and sometimes flew to people, but I never observed them closely. At this point, I was in the same environment as the author, Fabre, who wrote his magnum opus, The Book of Insects, and I did nothing. Here's why, because Fabre patiently observes insects with a curiosity about nature and a spirit of scientific inquiry, and I don't care about it, so there are two very different results.

We need to learn from Fabre this spirit of scientific inquiry, maintain a curiosity about everything around us, and be a person with a heart for life.

Reading Notes (3)

Fabre, the author of "Insects", carefully describes the living habits, reproduction and predation methods of various insects through careful observation and many experiments, showing readers a wonderful insect world. The author writes vividly and interestingly, and the reader reads with great interest.

The insects that I write about throughout the book are very interesting to me. This is all thanks to the author's careful observation and meticulous description.

For example, under the thighs of the praying mantis, there are two rows of very sharp jagged things. Behind these two rows of sharp serrations, there are also some large teeth, three in total. "The pine caterpillar in the lead is digging up the soil a little while probing, and it seems to be measuring the nature of the soil." It is not enough to observe carefully, but also to describe it in detail, so that the reader can understand, and "the appearance of this small tube is a bit like silk fabric, with a little red in the white, and layers of scales are stacked on top of the small tube, just like the tiles on the roof", etc., these detailed descriptions make the whole book more vivid, concrete, and fascinating.

Before I read this book, I didn't know that tube worms would wear "clothes", that pine moths would predict the weather, or that spiders would fly everywhere with silk threads. Now I know it all. Some animals have a higher way of thinking than humans, for example, when the red-striped bee leaves food for the eggs, it makes the caterpillar immobile and unconscious, instead of killing the caterpillar, so that the food can be kept "free". For example, when the waist is used to catch spiders for eggs, only small ones are catched, so that each insect can be eaten in just one meal, and each meal can be eaten fresh, how about it? Be smart!

The author wrote all this because he was careful to observe, and I, who is not very good at observing life, so when the teacher asked me to write an essay, I always couldn't think of the subject matter. However, there was one exception, on the way to class, I found a team of ants moving food, and after observation, I found that the ants first cut the food into small pieces, then put it on their heads, moved it back to the nest, and then went back the way they came, and then moved it again. I took a closer look this time, but this is something that interests me. Now I understand that we should not only observe the things we are interested in, but also everything around us, so that we can be everywhere. Lo and behold, small insects also contain university questions!

Life is the source of writing, and only by carefully observing everything around you can you understand the wonders of the world. This is what I deeply realized after reading "Insects".

Reading Notes (4)

Are you an insect lover? Have you taken a closer look at those critters? honey

Bees, ants, praying mantises, beetles...... In fact, each insect has its own habits, hobbies and special abilities. "Insects" shows us the story of these little creatures that happened to the insect world.

Next, I'll take the "cute stone silkworm" as an example! The stone silkworm is a very small aquatic creature, which is actually the larva of the stone silkworm moth. Stone silkworms grow in the reeds of marshland. Many times, they cling to the broken branches of the reeds and drift with the water. The small sheaths formed by these broken branches can be regarded as the houses in which they move. Sometimes, the stone silkworm will also use the tiny shells to piece together a house, like a small self-contained garment. Don't underestimate the small residence of the stone silkworms, they are the top secret defense tools of the stone silkworms! There is sometimes an interesting battle between the stone silkworm and the water beetle: the stone silkworm swimming happily on the surface of the water is seen by the water beetle lurking near the rock, and they immediately swim to the surface and quickly grab the small sheath of the stone silkworm. The stone silkworm inside felt that the attack was fierce and not easy to resist, so the golden cicada broke out of its shell and fled, leaving the stupid water beetle to continue to tear the small sheath fiercely.

There are many insects like this that I didn't know the name of or seen before, such as: crab spiders, dung beetles, and bees......

After reading this book carefully, I understood: in fact, even some very inconspicuous insects have their own friends and enemies, sometimes they are fierce, but at the same time they also have a gentle side.

How complex these little creatures in the insect world are, it is worth our careful observation and in-depth study, let's explore the mysteries of nature together!

Reading Notes(5)

I'm a big fan of books, and recently I read a book that fascinated me, and it was a miracle in the history of literature - "Insects".

Fabre, the author of "Insects", is a famous entomologist, animal behaviorist, and writer in France. He excels in all three of them. He is also known as the Homer of the insect world and the Virgil of the insect world. I was deeply conquered by Fabre.

This book is about a very interesting biological insect in nature. Through careful observation, he described the green grasshopper, the creatures in the mysterious pond, the insect loving child, the tube worm, the wasp, and so on. It depicts the life processes of living beings.

This is a book that sticks out to me. It made me understand that there is so much more to the natural insect world. I unconsciously felt a sense of awe for the insects I had looked down upon.

From his words, I learned about the architect: spider, weaver: tube worm, master of weather prediction: pine caterpillar, I learned about his love for insects, and I was also deeply interested in this wonderful insect world.

I admire Fabre very much, he is so tenacious, even though his body is very weak, he can still persist in producing such a good book as "Insects", which is a masterpiece in science and literature. I was impressed by his enthusiasm, enthusiasm, meticulousness, and dedication to observation. I think it's a genius observation. His hard work was not in vain, and forty years later, he used his observations and insects to work together to finally lay out a fine book "Insects".

I admire his spirit of creating at the cost of his life for the sake of the insect world he loves. Fabre's yearning for science introduced him to the wonderful world of science. This is also a very worthwhile place for us to learn, if we study as hard and persistently as Fabre, then our grades will definitely improve greatly.

Fabre introduced me to the insect world, and his book "Insects" made me remember Fabre forever.
