Liu Lanfang, a famous storytelling performance artist, is a national representative inheritor of the Beijing Commentary on national intangible cultural heritage.
Liu Lanfang, whose original name was Liu Shuqin, was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in 1944, and began to learn to sing the Northeast drum with her mother at the age of 6. In 1958, 14-year-old Liu Lanfang studied art under Yang Lihuan. In 1959, he was admitted to the Anshan Qu Art Troupe, where he studied with famous artists such as Sun Huiwen and Zhao Yufeng, and systematically studied and commented on books.
In 1979, Liu Lanfang, who had been telling revolutionary stories on Anshan Radio, was given the task of speaking of a traditional book. Liu Lanfang first thought of "Yue Fei's Biography". "I've studied this and I love this book." But the conundrum is also readily available. "Yue Fei Biography" does not have a calligraphy, that is, a "story synopsis", and Liu Lanfang has to say more than 20,000 words a day, and she has to speak for three or four months in a row.
Someone found a copy of Qian Cai's original "The Complete Biography of Yue Yue" in the ruins of the library and gave it to Liu Lanfang. Although the story of this book begins with Yue Fei's birth, the text is very limited, "for example, a very important plot, the book may have to say two hours, it takes about 20,000 words, but there is only a very short paragraph on the book." "There is no way, Liu Lanfang can only delete, modify and supplement the original work, and re-edit the book."

During that time, Liu Lanfang went to the radio station to record books in the morning, went on stage in the afternoon to say "Ming Yinglie", listened to books at night, and could only write books in the middle of the night. In the first half of the night, she wrote, in the second half of the night, she called her wife up to help revise, and at five or six o'clock she got up to silently draft. Sometimes writing thousands of words, tearing up when I see that it is not a person's words, Liu Lanfang cried angrily, "What kind of thing I wrote." But I have to keep writing.
A paragraph of "Yue Fei's Biography" is 28 minutes and more than 7,000 words, and the record of three paragraphs is more than 20,000 words. I can't finish writing anymore, so what should I do? It can only be played on the spot. "Boot, snap, wake up the wood a beat, the last book said... The brain begins to add accumulated things to it like a movie. Liu Lanfang said, just finished "Yue Fei's Biography".
Since 1979, more than 100 radio stations have broadcast Liu Lanfang's long commentary "Yue FeiChuan", which has caused a sensation throughout the country and affected overseas.

Some people recalled: Whenever Liu Lanfang's commentary was broadcast, there were surprisingly few pedestrians on the street, resulting in a great reduction in criminal and public security crimes. Therefore, Anshan City once awarded her the title of "Model of Public Security".
Other accolades poured in. "May Day Labor Medal", "March 8Th Red Flag Bearer", "70 Outstanding Performing Artists in 70 Years", 2019 "China Intangible Cultural Heritage Annual Figures"... But Liu Lanfang did not "lie on the merit book and eat the old book", and she paid attention to the use of works to reflect the national spirit, and she set her sights on a special group: the national moral model.
