Walking into the Huang Zhenfang Family Forest Farm in Houyang Village, Qibu Town, Zhouning County, more than 7,300 acres of forest farms are lush and verdant. Medicinal herbs such as clematis and grass coral under the forest are full of vitality.
In 1983, Huang Zhenfang, who was more than half a hundred years old, took a loan of 80,000 yuan to take his family to the mountains to open up wasteland, plant trees, and establish a family forest farm, becoming a major afforestation household in Ningde at that time. In just three years, Huang Zhenfang's family has worked hard to plant 1,207 acres of afforestation, which has led to a good start for greening and planting trees in eastern Fujian.
