Walking into the cherry orchard, a cherry planting greenhouse comes into view, the green cherry trees in the garden are growing gratifyingly, the round cherries are hanging all over the branches, and the cherries with red color and full fruit are rushed to the "fresh" market, which not only becomes the delicacy on the tip of the people's tongue, but also broadens the way for the villagers to increase their income and get rich.
"The planting area of cherry greenhouses is about 60 acres, and there are seven high-temperature greenhouses, and there are about 16,700 cherry trees planted here. Jiang Baixiu, the person in charge of the May Cherry Picking Garden, said.
Through the development of the cherry industry, it not only increased the income of growers, but also drove local villagers to achieve employment at their doorsteps. In addition to the usual labor required for management and maintenance, every year when the picking season comes, a large number of villagers will be hired in each cherry greenhouse to pick, which has led to the increase of income of surrounding villagers.
"Our big cherry picking period is about a month, it is this color when it is ripe, and then it is deep purple red, and it is full of juice in the mouth, pure sweet taste, and it tastes crisp and sweet." Jiang Baixiu, the person in charge of the May Cherry Picking Garden, said.
The cherries in Bahu Town have always been famous far and wide, and there is an endless stream of tourists who come to pick them every year.
"I'm a regular customer here, and this year is the 6th year I've come to pick them, mainly because the jujube tastes good, and then I can experience the joy of picking it myself." Tourist Gao Min said.
