Nowadays, it is the season when cherries are ripe and on the market, and more than 200 acres of cherries in Langbazhai Village, Luzhang Town, Lushui City are ripening one after another, attracting many tourists to check in and try fresh in the orchard.
Walking into Langba Village, scattered on the cherry trees planted in front of the house and behind the house, the red fruits are hanging all over the branches, one by one, one by one, like agate, crystal clear, making people salivate.
Early in the morning, Wang Xiangrong and his wife Peng Wuxian, villagers of Lujihe Natural Village, Langbazhai Village, were busy in their cherry fields, picking fruits, picking and boxing...... Although the old couple is over 70 years old, they are very quick to work, and after a while, the boxes are filled to the brim.
"Our family has been growing cherries for more than ten years, and after picking cherries in the morning, we take them to the side of the road at the entrance of the village to sell, and basically sell them for six or seven thousand yuan a year, which is enough for us to live. Wang Xiangrong said with a smile.
Langbazhai Village is located on the mountainside of Gaoligong Mountain, with many woodlands, sufficient water sources, good soil quality, and unique natural conditions that are very suitable for cherry growth. In recent years, Langba Village has been promoting the cherries of the village through the model of "Party Branch + Cooperative + E-commerce + Farmers" on the new media platform.
"Cherries taste sweet and sour, very delicious, I have only eaten cherries sold in the market before, today I finally experienced the fun of eating while picking, full of sense of harvest!" Yang Zhiyuan, a tourist from Dali, said excitedly while picking cherries.
"Every year in April and May is the busiest time for our family, Monday to Friday I pick to sell on the side of the road, Saturday and Sunday to pick more tourists at home, I will receive at home, the business has been very good in recent years, and I can basically have a good income from selling cherries every year. Ou Xuemei, a villager of Lujihe Natural Village in Langba Zhai Village, said happily.
Ou Xuemei's family now has more than 200 cherry trees, and has also planted 0.3 acres of strawberries, and now it is also ushering in the picking period. "Now it's more and more convenient, we can sell our agricultural products at home, and I believe that as long as we work hard, life will be as prosperous as strawberries and cherries, and the better!" Ou Xuemei said confidently.
Xia Jianghui, director of the Village Affairs Supervision Committee of the Langbazhai Villager Committee, told reporters that there are more than 90 farmers planting cherries in Langbazhai Village, with a planting area of more than 200 acres, and the current fruit-bearing area is more than 140 acres, with an average annual output of more than 10 tons, which can create more than 30 yuan of economic income for the village collective every year.
Rural revitalization depends on industry, and industrial development depends on characteristics. At present, the cherry belt has become a "red" rural picking tourism model in Langbazhai Village, a new channel for villagers to increase their income and get rich, and a vivid practice of ecologically empowered rural tourism.
"We will expand the scale of cherry planting while controlling the quality, broaden the sales channels, and combine the natural conditions of our village to introduce more fruit varieties to plant, with cherry planting this point, drive the fruit planting line, promote the aspect of eco-tourism, and finally realize the new situation of industrial development in Langbazhai Village with continuous fresh fruits and endless tourists throughout the year.
