Ma Yanwen, 35 years old this year, has 16 years of experience. By chance, she came into contact with the double-sided three-different embroidery technique.
Embroidery Ma Yanwen: After seeing it, I felt amazing, especially at the moment of transformation, it was really shocking. I can't believe that traditional Chinese culture can be so brilliant and seamless.
Ma Yanwen visited Suzhou and found that there were no more than 10 people in Suzhou who could embroider this kind of double-sided and three-different embroidery. In order not to lose this skill, Ma Yanwen gave up her original job in the embroidery workshop and moved to the village to learn from local craftsmen.

In the development of thousands of years, Suzhou embroidery is closely intertwined with the lives of people in the south of the Yangtze River, forming a rich artistic expression, with beautiful patterns, lively stitches and elegant colors. How to integrate the national style and national charm into people's lives, there are many people who have the same dream as Ma Yanwen. In Zhenhu Street, Suzhou High-tech Zone, a town of more than 20,000 people, there are more than 8,000 embroiderers at the most. Lu Meihong, who is over fifty years old, still sticks to the embroidery frame every day.
Lu Meihong, senior arts and crafts artist in Jiangsu Province: Embroidery thread can be split into dozens of silks, and one in thirty-sixths must be there, which is the basic skill.
To embroider such a peony picture, it will take Lu Meihong half a year of work, but her daughter Yu Zhujun, who has been practicing embroidery with her since childhood, has some special ideas.

Yu Zhujun began to study how to better integrate Suzhou embroidery into daily clothing. So, she led a team of designers to start from fabrics and plate shapes to find a better way to present them.
