"Suzhou Embroidery Art Documentary Exhibition (1949-2019)" brings together the masterpieces of Suzhou embroidery art in the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, these works are rich in themes, exquisite craftsmanship and diverse styles, which not only reflect the outstanding artistic level, but also systematically demonstrate the continuous innovation and development process of Suzhou embroidery in terms of materials, crafts, themes and styles on the basis of inheriting excellent traditions; It reveals the core of Suzhou embroidery and the generation trajectory of its artistic appearance at multiple levels. "Spring Back to the Earth" embroidered in 1978, Suzhou Embroidery Research Institute invited Li Kuchan, Guan Shanyue, Cheng Shifa, Huang Zhou and other 12 painters to create embroidery for the Suzhou embroidery collective, Zhao Puchu inscribed "Spring Back to the Earth". The whole work is four meters long and 1.5 meters wide, and the composition is full, with different styles and swaying flowers gathered together, which is a grand view.
Zha Yingdong, deputy mayor of Suzhou, said that Suzhou relies on a long history and rich cultural heritage to vigorously develop the economic and cultural industry, providing a good development condition and platform for a large number of traditional handicrafts and intangible cultural heritage represented by Suzhou embroidery.
