On the morning of May 9, a train departed from Shijiazhuang International Dry Port with the destination of Hungary and Serbia in Europe, and will continue to operate on a weekly basis. On this train alone, it is loaded with 110 TEUs worth 32 million yuan, and it is expected to arrive in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, in 18 days. The opening of this train has given the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region another direct shuttle bus to Europe, which has undoubtedly further strengthened the economic and trade cooperation between China and Hungary and Serbia, and helped to enhance the economic and trade ties between China and Europe, which can be called a gift from Orban to China. Although China, Hungary, and Serbia are all satisfied, some countries are not happy.
Now it seems that within Europe, a part of the countries of Eastern Europe will not be happy about this. Represented by the three Baltic countries, these countries are extremely dependent on the United States, and in recent years they have become more and more hostile to China and want to curtail China-EU economic and trade cooperation. Outside of Europe, there is no one more unhappy than the United States. From the perspective of the United States, Washington is currently sparing no effort to suppress and contain China, hoping to prevent China's economic rise, and one of the important strategies of the United States is to pull Europe together to engage in decoupling and technological containment against China. Although Europe's overall strength has declined relatively over the years, in any case, Europe is still a significant economy in the world!
Europe remains the world's second-largest economy in nominal terms after the United States, and in purchasing power parity terms, after China and the United States. Therefore, if the US wants to suppress China in the economic and trade field, it will largely rely on the assistance of the EU, and if the EU does not cooperate, then the US strategy of suppressing China's economic rise will be difficult to support. On the contrary, if the EU fully obeys the US side and follows Washington in engaging in economic and trade "decoupling" and technological containment of China, it is an indisputable fact that China will face a very difficult situation.
