Nanjing Phoenix Opera Society is a grassroots folk art team in Nanjing. Yu Tinghu, president of Nanjing Phoenix Opera Society, told reporters that the cooperation agreement with Nanjing Peking Opera Troupe on "pairing and co-building, sending operas to the countryside" is to integrate the outstanding young actors and repertoire of professional theater troupes into the "Yueban Theater" of the Phoenix Grand Stage, practice the concept of "combining professional and amateur", change the personnel structure of Nanjing Phoenix Opera Society, absorb fresh blood, increase the artistic vitality of grassroots associations, send more and better drama programs to the village stage, and better serve the villagers.
Once a month, more and better drama programs will be sent to the village stage, and they will persist for a long time to form a fixed ticket circle culture and achieve the results of inheriting dramatic art.
Wang Jue, head of the Nanjing Peking Opera Troupe, said that in recent years, the Nanjing Peking Opera Troupe has created and rehearsed "Forensics" and "Entering Beijing", as well as excavated and rehearsed many traditional classic excerpts, which have been well received by the audience and demonstrated the artistic strength of the troupe. Especially since the establishment of Kuizhi Studio, under the personal teaching of Kuizhi and Li Shengsu, young actors have produced many talents, which has further strengthened the artistic heritage of the Peking Opera Troupe.
During the interview, Yu Kuizhi told reporters that he became friends with President Yu of Nanjing Phoenix Opera Club because of their common love for the inheritance and dissemination of drama. He turned his hobby into a powerful promotion of cultural dissemination, which has achieved a good social response. In 2021, the actors of the First Troupe of our National Peking Opera Company also had a performance exchange with the Nanjing Phoenix Opera Society, and there is such a Peking Opera non-governmental organization in Nanjing, which has played a very good role in continuously cultivating the audience and taking root in the masses of Peking Opera. He said that the National Peking Opera Company and the Nanjing Peking Opera Troupe, a brother troupe, have joined hands to witness the pairing and co-construction of the Nanjing Peking Opera Troupe and the Phoenix Opera Society, which reflects the spirit of inheritance passed down from generation to generation. Pairing and co-construction has played a good role in promoting the artistic improvement of young actors.
