Eid al-Fitr, as an important festival in Islam, has always attracted much attention. I had the privilege of witnessing a grand Eid celebration in a township in Xuecheng District. There, the people are full of enthusiasm, mutton soup is burning in front of the church, and the ladies in the courtyard are busy making fried flatbreads.
It was an unexpected experience for me. I expected to be rejected, but I was pleasantly surprised by an older uncle who warmly invited me to taste the mutton soup and gave me two flatbreads.
Through this understanding, I learned that Eid al-Fitr has a lot of activities. People are busy preparing and sharing food, paying iftar, holding prayers, and visiting relatives and friends to exchange blessings. These activities fully demonstrate the excitement and festivity of Eid al-Fitr.
Nowadays, Eid al-Fitr has become a common festival for many ethnic groups in the mainland, including Hui, Uygur, Kazakh, etc. How much do you know about these peoples, and would you like to experience the Eid al-Fitr atmosphere for yourself?
Although I am Han and don't know much about the culture and festival customs of ethnic minorities, I am curious about their culture and would like to learn more about it. What do you think about this?
