In order to allow the masses to enjoy the "national team" medical services at their doorsteps, on the afternoon of May 17, 2024, Qingdao Hospital of Peking University People's Hospital organized 15 well-known experts from 13 specialties to carry out popular science lectures and free clinic activities at the Chengyang District Archives and Chengyang District Health Bureau and Chengyang District Working Committee, so as to deliver health services to the "doorstep" of the people in Chengyang District. At the event, a total of more than 400 people participated.

Yang Ming, chief physician of the Department of Orthopedics of Peking University People's Hospital, gave a popular science lecture on "Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention of Common Neck, Shoulder, Back and Leg Pain Diseases", which is of general concern to the occupational population; Dr. Ding Qidi from the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, through the explanation of "Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome", made everyone have a more intuitive understanding of sleep diseases, clarified the harm and treatment methods of multi-system damage of sleep apnea, and improved the attention to sleep health.

In the free clinic session, Qingdao Hospital of Peking University People's Hospital sent a strong expert "Tiantuan", led by Li Shu, executive director of the hospital and expert in hepatobiliary surgery, and participated in hepatobiliary surgery, general surgery, hernia and abdominal wall surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, neurology, urology, anorectal and pelvic floor surgery, rheumatology and immunology, orthopedics and joints, etc., bringing a comprehensive and high-standard medical service to the masses.
At the scene of the free clinic, there was an endless stream of patients who came to see him. After learning about this free clinic activity, many patients prepared their medical records and physical examination reports early, and lined up in front of the experts' clinics. According to the patient's condition, the experts interpret the physical examination report, propose the diagnosis and treatment plan, explain the daily care, provide medication guidance, and answer the patient's questions one by one. The experts' professional knowledge, kind smiles, and serious attitude have been well received by patients.
"I can't go to the hospital to hang up the expert number, I didn't expect to be able to see it for free at the doorstep, this event is so well organized." 67-year-old Uncle Li (pseudonym) has been suffering from bone and joint pain for many years, and orthopedic experts from Qingdao Hospital of Peking University People's Hospital have proposed a "national-level" diagnosis and treatment plan based on Uncle Li's symptoms.

Ms. Liu's (pseudonym) mother had a poor stomach and poor sleep quality, and this time multidisciplinary experts went to the "doorstep" for free clinics, and she took her mother to different clinics to find the crux of the disease. In the corner of the health community of the free clinic, the members of the laboratory department and the nursing team also provided blood pressure measurement, blood sugar examination and consulting services for the masses, popularized daily health care knowledge for the people who came to consult, and provided scientific health guidance.
