On May 15th, the "April 8th" ethnic minority festival square dance activity jointly organized by Yangtang Village, Machang Town, Gui'an New Area, and Gui'an New Area Industrial Control Group was held in the Club Square of Xinyi Machinery Factory in Gui'an New District. Dance lovers from various villages (communities) in Machang Town formed a dance team, dressed in characteristic national costumes, and celebrated the festival with cheerful dance steps.
Colorful glutinous rice and red eggs are indispensable traditional delicacies of the Miao people on April 8. Before the start of the event, everyone shared colorful glutinous rice and red eggs to feel the strong national festival atmosphere together. At the event site, dances such as "Miao Family Sisters" and "Toasting Dance" were wonderful, and the participating dance teams won the applause of the audience with their unique rhythm and beautiful dance posture. At the end of the competition, the "Lijiang Trilogy" in Banba Village, Machang Town won the first prize.
It is understood that "April 8", as an important festival of Miao compatriots, carries rich national memory and profound cultural heritage. As a mass cultural activity, square dance closely combines this cultural inheritance with modern life, showing the spiritual outlook of the Miao people in the new era.
