Zheng Ke successively went to the Shang'an section of the main stream of the Beijiang River in Nanhai District and the former site of the Hecun sluice gate to listen to reports on the rain and water conditions, flood conditions, embankment inspections, patrols, and risk removal and reinforcement. He pointed out that it is necessary to pay close attention to weather changes, strengthen embankment inspections and risk removal, and dispatch water conservancy facilities in response to changes in rain and water conditions to ensure the safety of flooding.
