Judging from the ticket sales data, the tickets from many places in the Yangtze River Delta to Beijing, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Changsha and other directions were basically sold out on the same day, and the passenger flow of central cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Hefei, as well as node cities such as Suzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Xuzhou, and Bengbu, showed a "blowout" trend. In order to cope with the peak passenger flow, the railway department focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Yangtze River Delta to and from South China, Central China, Central China, Northwest China, North China and other regions, as well as between popular tourist cities in the Yangtze River Delta region. It is planned to add 120 direct passenger trains from Shanghai to Qingdao, Luoyang, Hankou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Nanchang and other directions, Hangzhou to Nanchang, Changsha, Ganzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan and other directions, as well as 283 passenger trains between popular tourist cities in the Yangtze River Delta region such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Anqing, Fuyang, Bengbu, Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Yancheng.
In order to serve passengers to travel safely and quickly, during the "May Day" holiday, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. optimized basic services such as catering, water supply and cleaning, further improved station and train safety, guidance and service signs, optimized the organization of passenger entry and exit and boarding and landing, and did a good job in classifying key passengers such as the elderly, weak, sick, disabled and pregnant, so as to continuously improve the travel experience of passengers.
